Luring

Just thought I'd make this thread to see if anyone has tried luring of any form (wilderness luring) on RS07.

I have always been a huge fan of luring, I've found it to be one of if not the most exciting aspect of the game. Of course I've been lured myself, and that's what made me a lurer! But anyways, I used to do black knights fortress/10k drop at edgeville tree lure and make a few mill here and there (which was about 10x what it's worth now - at the point I was luring 1M cost around £7!)

Around a year later, I discovered Ice Plateau luring - I found this natural as I was good at convincing people that my drop partys were 100% legit by doing certain things/mind games for this to work. Me and a group of friends 4/5 started doing this on a daily basis, I was always the talker as the others found it very difficult to get anyone to believe, where I found it easy.

We lured atleast 800m+ total, which was how I made literally all of my money (before luring I never had over 5m) Some of the most memorable ones from the top of my head was 2x santa hats, multiple ranger sets and blue mask + 60m cash.

It got to a point where I was luring so many people, my team of 3/4 sometimes couldn't kill all of them so had to choose the ones to kill that looked the richest!

Anyway, what are your experiences of luring? Any big/funny lures that you wanna share - and has anyone tried luring in old school runescape?

This one time like pre eoc I remember I antilured this guys full ahrims and all his gear, probably the coolest thing I've ever done on runescape

I lure on Rs3 mostly, rarely lure on 07.

 

I don't think anybody falls for lures anymore, unless it's a clever one.

 

Lol well that's quite self explanatory.

 

Lures have evolved so that they don't focus on the wilderness as much anymore since basically everyone plays the game for PvP anyway, and it requires accounts of so many different combat levels. Combine that with 1/10th of the people playing that they actually had back in 2007, your choices for luring via wilderness are a lot smaller.

 

luring is like scamming imo....

 

Used to lure a lot back in the day, not so much anymore since the release of 07 and eoc

i think luring was always a very fun aspect of the game, i lured myself, as well as gotten lured

 

It's far from scamming. The game warns you about bringing items into the wilderness.

 

95% of common day luring has nothing to do with the wilderness.

 

It's not scamming at all.. It's a learning curb, once your lured once - you won't ever get lured again! Most people I know, including myself was lured once..

Luring should not be a offense in the game, I'm suprised they have made it bannable tbh, you cannot force somebody to go into the wildy - it will always be there choice, whether it be pulling a lever, accepting a teleport or walking in themselves - it's there choice

 

Oo I see, can you still bring cash into wildy on 07?

 

My friend lures. It's a pretty non-common, good lure.
Makes about 30m/day and has done 60m in a day the occasional time

 

Wow, that's good man. Is it wilderness based or non-PVP?
