Far Cry 4 (november 18th)

I'm too excited for this new game to come out. I loved Far Cry 3, can only imagine how much better this will be.

Gameplay looks so smooth and very detailed. There is so much you can do in this game, which is why I love this series.




Thoughts?

 

Don't think it will be as good of a story as 3 but I'm sure the gameplay will be streamlined nicely.

I will be buying it.

 

Gameplay for 3rd was great. 9/10 game honestly.

It's tough cause GTA 5 comes out tomorrow as well.

 

Looks dope. They honestly had me at Co-Op.

I've heard a lot of people saying it's just a reskinned Far Cry 3 and it's just like AC and CoD in that respect. Obviously there is going to be some similarities just like every game in a series. The dev time is a lot longer than the other franchises mentioned and from what I've read the map is larger than Far Cry 3, Co-Op, completely different environment etc.

I always love when people put down a game yet they haven't played it.

 

I didn't know they had a Co-Op mod for FC4. That'll be awesome honestly.

 

Played it for 3 hours today, so far it's basically identical to FC3 (Which I personally loved so that's fine with me). Some of the characters are very boring though (looking at you Mr. Chiffon) although I don't know if that will change later on.

 

I need to go purchase this game. I just didn't have time today.

Even if it's similar to FC3, that's fine with me!

 

I'm going to buy it when I get payed, fell in love with farcry when I first played it

 

Was literally on my way to purchase this before work when I ran into some chick I knew. Didn't feel right brushing her off in order to purchase far cry before my shift lmao. I'll pick it up tomorrow when I get my jeans tapered.

 

Are you kidding? The story in 3 SUCKED! The plot and voice acting was by FAR the games biggest downfall. I loved the game but cringed nearly every cutscene.

I loved the game play though. 7/10 I prefer some aspects from 2 over 3, hopefully 4 is even better.

 

Good point, I remember the audio sounding like it was recorded underwater or something lol

Vaas though man. Vaas. Vaas made the game for me, don't really see a dude in a pink suit eliciting the same reaction from me, besides me just wanting to kill him.

I liked FC 3's story though, to each his own.

Though I did get a little bored after dealing with Vaas. And I'll concede the ending was pretty stupid.

I haven't even played farcry 3 yet even though I own it for 360. Once I have the game I'll try it out in 4k, multiple monitor setup.

 

Far Cry 3's story was awesome I thought. Though the evil ending was nonsensical.

 

From my brief time playing it so far it's really fun - the audio still sucks dick though

 

Farcry 4 is very similar to fc3 but i'm starting to enjoy it alot!

 

7-8/10 so far

Would give them higher but I feel like they could have done slightly more to differentiate it from Far Cry 3. The audio is still terrible. The environment is a lot nicer though in how it is set out and how you navigate it.

 

I need to check the audio again for FC 3 because I really don't remember it being that bad.

 

looks great man. My only worry was the map being less interesting personally, but i'm sure it's be worth getting regardless.

It's more interesting than 3's map so far imo
