    Beginner coding questions.

I'm no way pursuing coding as anything professionally, just as a hobby-ish type activity. I want to be able to create things basically (like an app for iPhones).

    Questions I have:

What programs should I learn to be able to put together an app?

Where should I look to learn it from?

Do you have any reading suggestions for me to facilitate the process of starting off?

Thank you for your time, hoping for the best.

Well if you want to make Iphone applications learn objective c , and if you're not a Jew and want great tutorials and start learning programming try Lynda.com great tutorials 25 $ a month, quite high price but its well worth it... If you got bitcoins and you are familliar with black markets you can even get for cheaper or you can check out http://programmers.stackexchange.com/questions best place to ask questions about programming

First off don't pay for anything (aside from iOS Developer license cost if you choose to develop for iOS). It is $99/year. Everything else can be found online for free. There is so much out there. First you have to decide what you would rather develop for... android or iOS. Since it sounds like you want to develop iPhone apps you will need to learn the programming language objective c. Or you can learn the new programming language Swift but there probably aren't as many resources online for that so if you get stuck it will probably be harder to figure stuff out. For developing an iOS app you need to install the free program "Xcode".

Thank you both for replies. I will be looking into learning some new things about objective c. As for "Xcode" I'll download now.

@Kjmt what certain places do you find most helpful for a beginning coder like myself?

Just youtube a beginner series. There are tons of videos out there "make your first app in Xcode". The more relevant the video the better in terms of the date the video was put on youtube. As for learning the language, you can probably find a free pdf online. Just search free objective c pdf or free swift pdf. If you have no programming knowledge you are probably better off just to jump into swift even if it has less resources...
