Is it possible to get scammed on gameshares?

Can you get scammed on gameshare? then i mean like, i get the account details and download the game. can the person who sold me the gameshare scam in any way? like changing passord or informasjon. or is it like when i have the game downloaded it stays on ps4 for ever?

I have done game share trades. You can't get scammed once you download the game on your console.

Yes you can get scammed ... Even if you have downloaded the game the person who owns the account can go to sonys website and deactivate all devices from the account once every 6months meaning you won't be able to play the game ... But if you deactivate all devices yourself before you download the game you can guarantee yourself 6months.

what Jaydot says is wrong
one you get the account details and set the account as active (primary) then download the game,after that you will not need to open the share account anymore, you close it and Never open it again..
the game license now is on your console whatever the owner of the account do, change data etc, that will not affect you as long as you are not opening his account again..

 

Exactly no way to get scammed on a gameshare.

 

The owner can go to Sony entertainments website and deactivate all devices from the account (once every 6months) i have done it myself when my old console broke I needed to re activate on my new one but already had 2 consoles activated (broken one and my brothers) so I deactivated all devices and i could download / activate on my new console.

 

Yea but once you download the game onto your own system its prety much there forever. Because its on your harddrive of your console.

 

Doesn't matter if you have it on your console if the account gets deactivated you won't be able to play it on boot up you will get a message basically saying re activate or buy the game.

 

It can't get deactivated once you download it.. Its in your Hardrive and Sony can't remotely connect to that and delete the game...

 

jaydot is right , i've experienced it myself once the guy deactivates all systems you cannot open or use the file anymore .

its very easy to get scammed with gameshares tbh

. To prevent getting scammed when you have been given the account details to download whatever it is you have bought go to Sony entertainments website log in with those details and deactivate all devices off the account its really easy to do and then sign in on your console and download that way you can gaurentee yourself 6months of being able to use the content after 6months the owner can basically follow the same steps and deactivate you off the account and the content will no longer be useable unless you re activate or buy the game.
