    I know it sucks, initiate pures really do suck, they have an extra +4 combat levels or something and not much bonus at all really, I might just get the 10 defence for the good look and black defender.

    Thanks for all the replies, I'm gonna go for a zerker with rune gloves - barrows is way too much hassle for the extra +2 str bonus!
