Can Jagex detect your bot client? (can jagex detect what client youre using)

Can jagex detect what client you are using? I've seen some posts on osbot regarding this, no idea if its true or not

 

I use TRiBot, and I know that TRiBot is undetectable

 

hmmm I heard that too. How about the other bots?

 

I haven't seen or heard anything that Jagex are observing our pc's, like in world of warcraft...

 

I believe if you use a custom bot client, injection, or reflection, then there are ways which Jagex has of knowing, HOWEVER any decent bot developer actively looks for/finds/codes around these. (Don't know all of the deets about this, maybe someone else can chime in)

IMO no reputable bot client is inherently detectable (meaning if you were to play legit solely on the bot-client, you wouldn't get banned)

 

Thanks yohojo. I thought with the massive amounts of bans recently, it had to be something new with jagex's bot detection system. Any thoughts on whats causing the massive amounts of bans now?

 

I mean people say that they can, and some say that they cant (mostly the bot owners lol) But there's really no way someones gonna find that out and no one really knows all they can do is make guesses. Just the same thing with bans no ones gonna be able to tell you when they ban or the ban rates of a bot its really all guesses.

 

They found a new way of banning people, im sure someone knows but they have no reason to tell us, its just easy money for them

Because bans have increased significantly in the past few months

 

They have code to detect changes in the game client, OSBot uses injection so they change the game client for sure. I believe tribot extends the RS Canvas to draw on the screen, if they do that it's detectable as well.

Last but not least, no bot except TopBot secures its ClassLoader, so Jagex can just try and load random bot classes like 'Bank' or 'Inventory' and it will succeed, resulting in Jagex knowing that you are using a bot client.

 

Lets re -structure that...

They have code inside the client which could be used to check whether any game code has been modified however whether or not they are using it for this purpose is unknown.

I would assume TriBot would xboot the Canvas considering that's what he's done in the past from what I know.

As for your class loader I'll admit that's probably the truth however I haven't seen any proof that Jagex is doing this.

 

The canvas is actually xbooted. We also secure the class loader to prevent the client from loading classes it shouldn't. However, the client never tries to load classes other than Java classes and its own, so the class loader doesn't even matter (at the moment).

 

Although it's probably better to be safe than sorry by implementing such security measures. I'm not disagreeing with you, just saying it would be smart for just about any bot client to incorporate some sort of solution before it becomes necessary. Better to be proactive imo.

 

You're better off spending your time and energy on something that will stop your bot being so easily profiled.

 

Are you referring to the bot client stopping the scripts from being profiled, or the scripters themselves attempting to prevent their scripts from being profiled?

 

I've heard powerbot will get you banned just for using the client, or did you purposely not include them as a "reputable bot"?

 

I've been using Powerbot for a while and I never had a ban from them. Used OSBot for 1 day and had 5 accounts banned.

 

Why would you do it on a script level?... that's idiotic. Maybe ditch the idea of scripts? Who knows just you don't leave it up to the scripters.

 

Their botwatch can detect what client your using what makes me belive this is because I had been botting with topbot about a week then one morning I login my acc with topbot client and get insta dced and 2 day banned
