I'm not sure why it's Quashed but just be glad that it is and that your ban meter isn't increased at all. It could be worse. I've seen others with the same ban and it's no big deal.

 

But im still confused, does that mean that this ban was "false", so a mistake?

Chat is/was a friends chat for RS3/OSRS for people to just hang out in and meet new people, Originally labeled a "Rare Names Chat" prior to the massive name dump this year. QFC Thread 1:290-291-168-65310061 QFC Thread 2:290-291-662-65476700

Today almost everyone that joined the friends chat was given a 14 day ban for real world trade, when checking the evidence it said "Obtaining and hoarding display names for the pirpose of resale"



Everyone was upset banned for something they didn't even do, everyone online at the time joined the FC Chat on alt accounts to see what was going on. Moments later the account Chat was deleted and we can't use the Chat FC, we all moved to the backup friends chat "Talk" and will be using this FC from now on.

A few hours later one by one we were getting unbanned



So i estimate they banned at least 50 or more players for this same offense.

I don't know. Perhaps they realised they were wrong, but then they could've just removed it. I understand they keep record of Quashed offences, but they literally Quashed it within a few days, knowing that they had placed it wrongly (if this is the case). If it's really bugging you, find a player moderator in-game and ask. There's no point in putting yourself through the hassle of having to ask through their shitty ticket system they've implemented since email support has been discontinued. Best of luck!

It was a mistake they quashed the ban for the people who did nothing. Some people got permed
