How does a VPS work?

I see people selling a VPS for botting is what I'm understanding. Can someone explain this to me? Does it help you bot unnoticed?

Basically it's remote access to a remote computer with it's own specs,internet connection, etc.

 

Acts as if youre coming from another computer entierly

 

It's really only worth your money if you're opening a bot farm

 

If I wanted to bot one or two account, not for gold but for stats, is this worth it? How does it reduce your chances of jagex perm banning right away. I've tried OSbot and I bot for maybe 30 minutes at monks and get banned.

Need to be more inconspicuous when botting and not draw attention to yourself.

VPSs/Proxies inherently have absolutely 0 effect on your ban rate.
However if you have previous ban(s) on your machine, and your IP/etc is possibly flagged, then yes a VPS/Proxy can be beneficial.

(No way to know if you're flagged, you just 'notice' if you start happening to get banned abnormally fast when you shouldn't be)

a vps is like an extra computer and is used for bot farms,websites and games.
the whole point with a vps is that you can turn your computer off and the things you run on the vps wont dc and the stuff you run on the vps wont have an effect on your computer
