I'm going to keep this simple. Throughout the browsing I've done, I've encountered a very high amount of spambot threads, and I want to know if this is normal? I find it to be extremely unappealing and I understand mods have other things to do.

My solution would be to allow all moderators to soft delete posts made by newcomers / low post count members. It looks like only global+ can delete posts + issue permanent bans. By adding this feature to people below, say 25 posts, it would really clean things up. Global+ mods can still double-check the deleted posts.

I think this turned into a suggestion, rather than feedback. I'll leave it here because I think I might be overreacting so I want more opinions on this issue.

Yeah I have been reporting a lot of them today. Don't think this is normal as I have only noticed it in the past few days.

It isn't normal, I don't see any reason for change. We get to it as quickly as possible.

Ah okay I didn't realize that this was a recent issue. It was really bugging me. In that case, I hope that the situation gets taken care of.

Part of the issue is the way forum vBulletin permissions are structured as well. Sectionals with delete powers everywhere would have to have essentially the same permissions as globals.

Sectionals can delete posts in their own sections - so maybe if you see a few nobody's gotten to you could PM/Skype the sectional just to get it gone quicker.

A lot of our staff are busy with school exams/mid terms right now so a few things are somewhat slower, I should be around most times of the day for now so hit me up if you see anything I don't :)

Soft deleting newcomers posts will only discourage new members and add more stress on mods.

i think he means if someone makes a super spam post than it can be deleted rather than waiting for global+

I really didn't worry about reporting them because I kept thinking they would be resolved quickly, but I haven't really noticed the spambots as much lately, it was only noticeable for a week.
