make weighing in on pardons mandatory or.. atleast incentivised.

Here we are on the 7th day of ghasts pardon and he has 4 of the 5 supports needed and no vetos or "no supports". Without the 5th his pardon will fall into obscurity and he will be forced to wait an additional 6 months.

Now im not even a fan of Ghast/Bglave but thats outright bullshit. If it were denied, thats one thing but to get so close and fail due to other staff members being lazy or whatever other reasons they have for not posting. He was a good member of the site, he cared and contributed.

This issue does not begin and end with ghasts pardon either, numerous pardons have fallen into obscurity for the very same reason.. the pardon section is NOT a place to slack. Many of our most sucessful and valuable members have been pardoned (almost entire staff team, its practically a prerequisite..).. think if someone slacked and YOU didnt get your last support or no support.

All im saying is pardons are important and should be handled with top priority. We cant go about procrastinating losing valued members of the ever thinning community.

It won't happen, but there should be some incentive for the staff to post there either way. Even a "no support" means that you've read over it, or considered the situation. Simply ignoring it =/= no support.

 

Yeah Ghast messaged me and I managed to draw some attention to it.

Right now I'd say the issue is primarily that a lot of staff are busy with mid-terms & exams which detracts from our time on sythe.org. I imagine it'll pick-up in a couple of weeks once that's past us however.

 

Could have sworn I had posted in it earlier, so that's a mistake I can admit.

That said I try to abstain from most pardons that were before my time and where pertinent details may not be available to me.

But I can vow at least from my standpoint I'll start being more proactive in the section

 

Denied. Staff not posting is the same as no support, has been said about 100 million times now. We will NEVER force posting in there so please forget that idea exists.

Lets not forget we dont owe anything to anyone who is pardoning either. Its their own fault they got there in the first place.

P.S. - it will be brought up to staff to make sure they are checking the section.
