R2P --- Smart Advertising??

So I was just watching a popular YouTuber, (Syndicate) and the video I happened to be watching was a 2 hour video taken from his stream where people can donate to flash a custom message on the screen.

Out of the corner of my eye I see R2Pleasant donated and starts advertising his website ahahahahahahahahaha. On a serious note, what a brilliant idea. Over 60,000 people just heard of his site selling RSGP for the price of 5$.......

i remember when someone donated to b0aty and when he was reading the message in the donation they recorded it. It was something like: join<clan> for swapping.

 

It sounds like people are really late on basic advertising techniques...

Yeah I haven't seen this before, but that is some smart fucking advertising, donating on someone's stream when they have 60 thousand viewers, props...

 

Pretty damn smart but I wouldn't expect many hits to come as they are all COD players.

 

Sooo many video game markets are linked.

For example, you said "they are all COD players."
Many are, yet they are watching a Minecraft stream.
The big games like COD, FIFA, Minecraft, Runescape, LOL, usually don't have exclusive audiences.

 

People are calling this basic advertising - what's advanced advertising then?
