    Lets Get Fit Together!

    Our generation is the largest in history, without changing we will never be able to solve health problems such as heart disease and diabetes. I understand some of these cases are genetic, but genes are the worst excuse for why someone cannot do something incredible with their life. I want to make this thread as a way for everyone on Sythe to work together towards a common goal of being healthy (because we are primarily gamers and we all know the stereotype that comes with that).

    The definition of healthy is different from person to person, so I'd like to see people posting in this thread with their fitness goals and every now and then progress updates. Goals make everything seem more real as you progress. So I'll go ahead and start off the thread and maybe others can follow:

    My name is Jeff, a year ago I weighed 120lb and stood at 5'10". I'm 19 which made me very small for my age. I chose to change my body completely because I wanted to be more confident in my everyday life (plus I bought a mustang and I did not have the body to match the car haha). But not only did I want to physically look different, I wanted to feel different. I've had seasonal allergies all my life and my immune system, as a result, was not all that great... After my year of training my body has felt more like a fortress and less like a wrapper for my bones. My allergies no longer seem to bother me as much and I feel more focused than ever.

    I set myself a goal last September to be at 140lbs within a year. I wanted to gain the weight while going to the gym for 3-5 days a week. This way I would have a strong base to my body from which I could sculpt my body to how I wanted it. As of October 8th this year, I weigh 148lbs, I've increased by 28lbs with only gaining 2% - 2.5% of body fat. Time for a new goal!

    GOAL:
    My goal is to be 165lbs by June 2015. I want to have at most 7.5% - 8% bodyfat. This will be a challenge for me as I will be going through more military training during this time period. I'm determined to make it happen. My body goal is to have a nice developed chest, broader shoulders, slightly larger arms, and a strong core.

    GYM ROUTINE:
    On Off cycle in gym, First month 5 days a week, Second month 3 days a week, repeat.

    On Month:
    - Day 1: Chest & Back
    - Day 2: Bi's & Tri's
    - Day 3: Abs & Shoulders
    - Day 4: Chest & Arms
    - Day 5: Legs & Back
    Eating 3700+ Calories per day

    Off Month:
    - Day 1: Bi's & Tri's
    - Day 2: Chest & Back
    - Day 3: Legs & Shoulders
    Eating 3200+ Calories per day

    Once I reach the weight goal I will begin maintaining weight and growing muscles with advanced techniques such as dropsets, supersets, and crossfit methods.

    I used to be in same boat (different weight) back in high school. Was 6' 2'' 160 pounds. I wanted to play college football so I knew I had to gain some weight. During that winter, shot up to 190 lbs, and finished high school as 230 lbs and made it to play college ball. Your goals are very realistic.

    I was a twig in high school. Played baseball for the school through sophomore year when I was a normal weight. When I started losing ground compared to the other guys I was taken off from Catcher and put in left field (statistically the least hit to area on the field)... Needless to say Junior year I was cut from varsity as everyone else was huge.. I blamed metabolism, but it really was because I couldn't get off the games and into the gym. It was girls and games, baseball wasn't my focus. I regret that choice but now I'm turning myself around.

    I am re-starting my fitness journey, after a long time off due to injury, getting back into it is so hard!

    Gl with ur journey man I personally have Floorball training about 3 times a week and go to the gym and run outside regularly. Ur definitely right saying that u gotta be healthy
