Western Union Help

So I'm looking to make a Western Union account so when I open my gold shop I will take that as payment but how do I go about making one? I'm not 18 and I heard you need to be 18 because you need to go in and pick up your cash irl? I could certainly get my parents to go in and get it which means I would need to make the account under their name right? Or am I going about this all wrong and overthinking it let me know please and I read the guide for western union but it didn't really help so posting this here.

 

you don't need a western union account to recieve cash from it. you do have to be 18 and usually have ID. mom\dad\uncle\mate can pick up, you have to sign a bunch of shit but it's rather easy, atleast in california you have to sign etc.

as for an account for a goldshop i dont know how that works, usually i just pick it up straight into cash

 

So if I don't need an account how would I receive the cash? Please elaborate.

You dont have to be 18 to pick up the cash in person. You just take ID (passport, driver/provisional lisence etc)to the location and fill out the receiver form.

 

someone goes into the western union themselves (the person sending you money) or you can do it online. they fill out a form with your name, address, etc. they specify how much to send you and they pay a fee. once they send the money they can't take it back (i dont think) and you go to the WU with your ID and you pick up the money sent to you. the sender of the money has to give you his information too, as you will tell the clerk @ WU

 

Okay but I am also looking to make an account to be able to send money as not everyone likes to receive Paypal due to chargebacks so I could have the account made in my parents name (With their consent of course) then send money and receive it? Then I just go into my local Western Union and show Id and pick up?

 

You can go to https://www.westernunion.com and make an account, i'm not sure how it works there though. You don't need an account to send money, you go to the WU and pick up a piece of paper that you fill out with the persons name and details you are sending money to. than give it to WU teller with cash. than the person picking up will take a sheet of paper and fill it out (receiving money) and give teller his ID. and he will get money.

as for sending online, you probably have to have an account with a mastercard or something (i dont even know never used it). maybe register on the site and look around.

 

You could use their account to send the money (which means you'd have to give the receiver their name and not yours), yeah I guess.

Or just send it in person if you can.

 

It's suspicious if a 16~ year old is receiving thousands of dollars in cash at a WU or money in general. People will think you're a drug mule, prostitute, or generally breaking the law. Therefore, some may turn you away if you're under 18, but it's possible to go to another location to pick up money.

Western Unions generally do not ask for an ID if you're sending money for some reason.

 

Western Union will kill you with fees unless your only looking to buy/sell big bulk amounts at a time by that I mean 1b rs3 at a minimum. I'd reccomend you find an alternative like skrill under maybe your parents name?

 

if the age is 16+ i don't think they can turn you away for the money your receiving. everytime i go i just tell them i work online
