1 prayer vs 13 pray pure

I've made a new pure for the first time in ages and for the first time ever (been making pures since 2004)... I've left it at 1 prayer.

I'm using knife > d bolt > g maul combo in BH and it's fairly successful...

However I find I'm spending half my fight looting my own knives/bolts... It's so frustrating.

So my question is, as much as I like 1 prayer for the novelty and the lower cb lvls, is it worth doing animal mag for ava and stopping at 13 pray?

I believe it costs me 2 cb lvls.

Are there any other benefits to being a 1 prayer pure really?

 

I would advise to get it, better for PKing honestly.

I've seen better outcomes with 13 prayer Pures than 1 Prayer.

I'd go for the higher prayer level, you'll be hitting higher numbers and will be having more fun

 

yes ava's device = worth it

 

Another option that I chose and recommend is 15 prayer, which if quested allows you to have both Ava's and Ancients. But out of 1 or 13 prayer I'd say go with the 13.

 

I know this doesn't answer your question, but why not go for 31 or 43 prayer? the 31 lets you get really good str bonus, and 43 allows protect prayers if you ever get in trouble.

I don't fancy 31/43 pray cos I've never had a low level pure and don't want to gain unneeded combat levels

 

They're not exactly unneeded but in your case they may be

 

As majority of the replies are saying, I would go with the higher prayer one , people will still pk with you and you will be only 2 levels off which is nothing! Trust me bro its better if you upgrade

Stayed at 1 prayer for the moment and been beasting duel arena, might have found my remit

 

Try one prayer first, if you don't like it you can always gain a few levels

 

Have always made the jump to 13 prayer once i get to 40ish cb. Out of the countless times i have done this i never regret it Whether it be obby mauler, gmaul or even 60 attack

 

I think 1 pray is quite the novelty though. Your account looks much nicer

 

I personally prefer 13 prayer anyways.

 

As fezlet said at lower cb levels 1 prayer is better but once you get a bit higher i would jump to 13 prayer

 

Then i would say stay at 1, screw avas i think you'll be fine without it...
