That's the old model for Jad (Fire Cape boss), so he's in the city killing everyone and people are protecting range because in the boss fight you switch between protecting range and magic, and if you mis-switch prayer you had a high chance of gettting 1 hit koed. Hence the old man getting k0ed trollolol.

 

Ah lol, I never got a fire cape on 07, that's probably why I didn't know :s. Thanks tho.

 

This video seriously had me rolling, was looking for Runescape Pranks and found this (clearly done during no free trade/wildy period):
