Should really wait for the 900m series laptops to come out. They'll be priced great and have superior performance.

That one you referenced, no, it's crap.

M series laptops? This isn't for laptops, he's on a desktop from what I can see.

OT: The card will limit your system's capabilities IMO. I know it pretty much limits mine. I was honestly waiting for the 900 (originally expecting 800) series myself and bought a 760 as a true placeholder card.

As a placeholder card until a truly next-gen series comes out, it's fantastic. But then again you're not a heavy gamer if I remember the conversations - it runs games like LoL without any bottlenecking. However, if you're running games like Battlefield or even a high-end RPG you may find it struggles.

why buy a 760 at this point in time? With the 9XX series slowly coming out, and the AMD cards at such an incredible price point...you're crazy to even CONSIDER a GTX 760. Especially that one, since it just has a jacked up price due to clock rates and its cooler. At the $270 average price that this card seems to cost everywhere, youre only about 10 dollars away from a R9-290( see http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161459 ) Which would dust that GTX 760 so bad you'd feel sorry for ever considering it.

Yeah, woah, no idea how I drew that conclusion that he was talking about a single component on a desktop. Lol. Whoops, my bad. Still crap. Buying a 760 now would be like buying a 5850 now (in terns of buying 2 series older mid graphics cards).

If you put a 760 on a build like that... Well... Might as well throw in a pentium 2.

Seriously with a build like that you should go with nothing less than the 980 or dual 970s.

I kinda think this is a troll thread now.

When you have the funds to the tune of about $350 available, I would go DIRECTLY to the 970 or the 290x. Either one of them are going to last you a long...long time.

order from ShopBLT. I have been buying from them for a long time on early-release items. If you wanna buy something while they're hard to get, those guys usually have it. They have a lot of 9XX gpus in stock currently. My 980 from them arrives today.

The card is good. Anything ROG related are good quality. But grab a 9XX series, they're great pricing, especially here in Australia. I myself am thinking of grabbing a 980 just because of the efficiency of the card for the price. But then again, I have a 780Ti, so I'll personally wait for a 980Ti.

But back to your card. The 760 is last gen yes, but still good, but save an extra few bucks and grab a 970.

You wont regret it. My 980 is an absolute beast, and Maxwell is incredible in itself.
