First game as support

Went pretty well - I find the support role a tad boring though, I'm used to mid champs like Veigar and Syndra and love bursting away. Who are your favorite support champs and what build(s) would you recommend with Leona?

 

Support is a really fun role, people think that's just because you don't do a lot of damage (except for Morgana) that it's not fun. Morgana, Janna, Braum, they're all fun to play if you ask me. But if support isn't for you, avoid playing it if you don't need to.

 

Yeah I think it's just because I've been mid-laning for so long, the difference is taking some getting used to ^_^. My main aim right now is to focus on Support for a couple weeks, so I can start playing more ranked matches and not suck in particular roles if I get backed into one. I'll try Morgana, thank you. Could you recommend a rune page for the Support role also?

Nah played a hell of a lot more, but I think that may be 19 games through the TeamBuilder? I'm not sure.

 

Barely play support, when I do I always go thresh , best support champion for me

 

Thresh is super fun. When you land a madlife hook, you feel proud of yourself.

 

i don't play support but i am glad that there is at least one support out there that can play well

Lol yeah I've only really been a casual player, like one or two games a week. I just play for fun with some of my boys online, so I'm pretty bad all in all haha. I've only jungled a few times too.

 

Annie support is god, if I just want to boost elo and my main role is taken away I just play that. Its really fun as well.

 

Not really, annie is really squishy against champs like thresh,blitz, morg, and leona

 

lol. Of course she's squishy compared to thresh/blitz/leona you literally named three of the four most traditional tanky supports minus alistar rofl.

 

I don't know why ppl main support. Support role is boring as hell..

 

not if your thresh XD, I remember I hooked a jungle minion (the red buff one) and blitz pulled me over the tree and I was able to swing over 2 obstices so far away :O, LOved that moment since then

 

main diamond support here on euw, with 50 mins of game you had to exchange your trinket to red (nobody in your team even had it) that's a tip x)
Also support is the hidden carry role of the game, a good support can carry a bad adc but a good adc can't carry a bad support.

 

I agree with this to some extent. Bot lane synergy matters a lot.

 

well when i say carry, it only goes for laning phase. Outside that supporting matters to whole team not just the ad

 

I love Nami. She makes every laning phase easier, has excellent disengage, and the speed boost is great in chases.

Janna has the ability to reset fights, AOE heal, and can just be an annoyance everywhere.
