    Hardcore Ironman - Hunter

So upon release of the ironman and hardcore ironman modes to oldschool runescape i'm going to try and remain on the front page for hunter xp. (If possible i'm going to stay level three) how should i approach the account's training to be getting the most xp an hour) Should I just shoot for sallys 24/7 for most xp gained? Should I switch to red/black chins at all?

    Current Plan:

    1-9 Varrock Museum
    9-19 Crimson Swifts
    19-47 tropical wagtails
    47-59 orange salamanders
    59-67 red salamanders
    67-99 black salamanders

Also, am going to need to get some GP to buy traps before I start, should I do woodcutting and just sell logs to shops?

Thoughts? Any input on the situation is greatly appreciated :)

If you have any input on to how I should start this please post in a format such as:

    1. Account creation
    2. Sell off all items I don't need to general store
    3. fish/cook to get a few food to run past agro enemys
    4. find/buy 5 ropes/nets traps/boxtraps
    5. varrok museum
    6. start hunting

    and so fourth

You could do a bit of stronghold of security for some easy money.

Fletching and selling logs to shops could work as well, but its fairly slow. Pirates treasure too/instead maybe?

19-47 is going to be fun for you :s are there no other viable alternatives? (I appreciate green sallies being off the cards due to aggro npcs)

To make a little easy cash you could do stronghold as said above and/or do some fishing and sell the raw fish as an alternative to log chopping. Other than that finding item spawns such as chaos runes in the wild, or the steel plate spawn in the wild could work. Fastest way to get a bit of cash for traps would probably be pickpocketing men in Lummy as it really doesn't cost that much when you are buying traps.

As for hunter exp, I'd go with red chins when you get up to level 80. Good exp, and even though you aren't going to use them on a lvl 3 acc (may change your mind, never know), because they stack you can stay there and hunt constantly without having to drop your invent, plus once you get some you can at least sell them to a general store for a bit of cashback.

Looks like you've got a good plan. I'd stick with that.

I can't quite remember what level it is but you can catch red warlocks (butterfly) around like 19 and set out some traps for red wagtails (i believe) up in Piscatoris Area in the north west area and that's pretty good XP.

I'd stay away from chins - those are pretty slow XP. Isn't Falconry faster XP than sallys? And as Planker said, just run the stronghold thing for 10k (don't die!)

I'm not sure, I just want to maintain the best xp in game right now for hunter xp (i'm pretty sure I can do that even at level three)

The stronghold will be nice but i'm probably going to need more than 10k in traps/ropes/nets

I'll get fishing/cooking up some so i can do the stronghold with food, I don't think you can die as long as you have food (with 10HP)

I may even go for some kind of a unique build still (such as a defense pure or something strange)

Yeah I know it's probably not going to happen, but it'll be a little easier on hardcore ironman as i don't think many will do it. But i'm sure the people making ironmans to hold a high score rank (there has to be many many more than just me) are thinking the same thing.

I maintain a full time job, but i'm defiantly going to grind it out and try and do the best I can. I need something to keep me busy when i'm not working.

At 80 hunt I'd so chins and make like 20m or so to fund other skills such as herb, etc.

Yeah you should do some chins when you hit a high hunt for money for other quests, however for beginning money for hunt items do the stronghold of security :p

I have to keep in mind that hardcore ironman is no bank, and no releports. The account will be used for nothing but to gain hunter xp. So gathering chins won't do anything as i'll just collect a ton in my inventory if I do them.

Basically just need to figure out how i'm going to gain my money to buy initial traps, because really, I only need to buy 5 box traps and like 3 bird traps and a few nets/rope so the money I need to get these items is going to be minuscule

Wilderness for hardcore mode could be risky, I'd stick to red chins personally.

Are red chins better for xp an hour over something like black chins in wilderness tho?

well I mean with hunter, all i need to start is bird traps, then nets/rope, then box traps. No need to bank anything. (if I do chins, as well as maintain my rank) i'll probably make a troll video of releasing a fuck ton of chins or find something fun to do with them

I wouldn't recommend this. I myself have an iron man I made a while ago and have stopped playing for a while, and got 83 hunter on it.
I was able to get i think 1-58 or 59 hunter in a day.

    I would reccomend, doing ~
    1. 1-9 Varrock Museum
    2. 9-19 Crimson Swifts
    3. 19-29 Tropical Wagtails
    4. 29-47 Swamp Lizards
    5. 47-59 Orange Salamanders
    6. 59-63 Red Salamanders
    7. 63-73 Red Chins
    8. 73-99 Black Chins

I'm not 100% sure if doing chins is faster than black sallys, however i know that 1-6 is the fastest way to get to at least lvl 63 or 67.

Also for money, I recommend going to the wildy and grabbing a few steel pl8bodies, an invent will get u like 30k or somin, i forgt.

Bump, could use some thoughts on start up.

From account creation to getting highest xp possible (Login, do tutorial, theif for money, start hunting) something like that
