I know I'm not the only one who has thought of this but for Slayer can I just keep setting up a fighting script to fight my tasks? would that work?

Yes it would work. Be aware that Jagex has stepped up their bot detection and you will most likely get banned in a few days with a free script.

 

There are Slayer bots that you can purchase that are easy to use and set up. I advise you to check those out.
