WYSIWYG Editor?

Any way for VBulliten to have WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor how IPB does?

Is there some sort of extension which can enable this functionality?

It's so much nicer to actually see your end product live, and not having to keep previewing and tweaking.

It is on Sythe... You click the icon in the top right of the editor (the purple and blue A's).

 

No, that button only removes all the text formating.

WWSIWYG means that you would still keep the same kind of text formatting, but instead of having to look at BBcode tags, you'd see all the text formatted as you're writing it.

 

I'm a web developer, I know what a WYSIWYG editor is - and that's exactly what it does. Check again, you must be mixing up your lefts with your rights.

 

I think it only works on FireFox or something like that, or you have to enable it, or something to that effect.

 

I just did some tests and I couldn't find a way to get the functionality that you want on Chrome. I don't know what these other posters are talking about.

I'm indifferent on this issue. I don't mind hitting preview post to be honest, and sometimes it is bothersome if you're editing a post with yellow text.

 

Yeah, on Chrome now and it's not there. It works fine on Firefox though. On Chrome you see the double A icon on the left with an X through it and it removes any formatting - on Firefox we have that still, but also one on the right side without an X through it that enables WYSIWYG.

 

If there's a lot of demand for it in Chrome I would think the Technical team would've done it by now.
