I wouldn't legit it, let alone iron man.

 

I was thinking about doing it, but the more and more I thought about it the more boring I figured it would be.

Now I'm just at the point where I'd rather make a new account from scratch and set the own rules of my iron man.

At the end of the day I just don't see enough incentive to play it. Seems way too boring.

 

this is pretty much where i'm at.

 

Like if we wanted the best gear, we would have to boss the hardest monsters. If we have to boss the hardest monsters surely, at some point of your hardcore ironman, something bad is going to happen. You're going to misclick an ability, misclick a piece of food, lag out.....anything that can cause 1 even FLUKE death means the end of your hardcore iron man.

I'm not seeing any payoff for that high of a risk-reward. You get a custom title and maybe a high spot on a stupid secondary leaderboard.

It's not really something that can be recognized by all of the Runescape community, at least it doesn't sound like it.

 

Not really worth it, waste of an update IMO. Sounded fun at first but there's going to be so many drawbacks and issues that will just be frustrating for the average player. I don't predict these modes will be very successful down the road.

 

I'm going to make one in 07Scape but I don't think I will be in RS3.

to me this sounds amazing.

Ive literally nerded it so hard coming up with strategies for my route.

Pretty much ill need 104 dungeoneering (which can be solod VERY Easy as dungeoneering solo xp is outrageous.)

90 rc immediately for ports.

then divination for signals of life ect. (MUST HAVE.)

and other things ive come up with as well.

 

Will take for ever to be able to do anything that you want, like bossing. Good luck getting weapons/armor to be able to boss.

 

Id quit after 6 hours.

 

Sounds intense man, I definitely couldn't do it. You should start a progress log thread once you've started

 

Ironman Mode is an interesting theory; being self-sufficient must feel extremely rewarding in the end. It'd truly put honesty behind your work if you plan on making an Ironman account once this style is released. I like the idea that Jagex is offering special gameplays for all sorts of players (first the Oldschool servers, and now Ironman Mode). It'll definitely include more people, and make more people happy. I've never personally attempted to play an Ironman account, but I'd consider doing it in the future once I've completed my goals on my main account.

 

That'll take you way too long lol, have fun mining the ess to make the runes... Will be a bitch...

 

iron manning divination and rc? lmao they are both afk skills that don't require any prior ingredients or anything... you just sit at runespan/div spot? This isn't iron man.

 

I quit runescape many years ago and this seems awesome actually.

 

Until about 2 hours in when it gets super boring.
