How To Get Hired?

Hello everybody,

I'm seeking some advice or suggestions on a specific job area. Let me give a brief description about myself so you can further understand my position and what I'm looking for. I'm currently going to community college part time and a lot of expenses have come with that. I've been looking for a job in real life that I can work part time around my school schedule but I haven't had enough luck yet to land a job I'd at least somewhat enjoy doing.

I'm looking to get hired at a RuneScape Gold Selling site as a customer support, buyer/seller, or whatever other jobs they may have. I feel this would be best for me because I'm able to do it at home, more than likely work around my schedule, and it would suite me since I have played the game since 2006.

Now what should I do from here? I have visited several gold selling sites asking about this with no luck. What should I do to get noticed? Where should I look for hiring postings? Etc.

I'm fairly certain it would be impossible to join a big site without some sort of collateral. As if your delivering gp, they need to have something on you, although I am not 100% sure. If R2P saw this, or anyone other big seller, it'd be interesting to see what they did about hiring their workers.

 

What would you idea of collateral be? I asked a customer service representative on R2P today about how they hire and he said that they post on Sythe about it. But yeah, I'd like to know more too.

 

My idea of collateral would be 2-3x as much as they are going to need you to deliver. I'd guess anywhere from 3-5b/$1,000-1,500. But then again, I honestly don't know as I've never done this before. I'd try pming R2P himself and see if he responds.

Why should they hire you over the other dozens of people who possibly have more to offer? That's the question you must ask yourself and tell them.

Normally you'd have to make a small deposit, and the gold you will handle probably won't match your deposit (for obvious reasons). Your salary could be more than your deposit, and obviously you will get your deposit back if you leave. It's there in case you mess up, scam, or anything wrong on your end.

A few things to remember is having a lot of free time and being reliable, because if you disappear during a shift for whatever reason, you are costing the business money.

 

I personally dont think you'd get hired in the customer support section due to the competition is very high, most gold sellers hire people from china or close friends which they know they can trust and previous experience is also very good to have because they will spend less time training you


- if i were you id just get whatever job you can in real life just suck it up even if its shitty its only for a few hours day/week + we all have to start somewhere and you might have to work hard to get where you want to be, i just started to work as a swamper in the oil fields its hard work but i know in a few years i will be making 250k + year so suck it up and do it m8 it will be worth it in the end

 

Basically, demand for workers plays a huge role in getting you hired behind collateral. Once you have cleared the collateral part, most businesses will hire you if they are perhaps in need of a person manning their business in your time of service.

Track records on the forums aids the businesses a lot in accessing your overall behavior, character and attitude towards your past customers. Your professionalism, simply put.
