Iphone to Samsung

Hi all,

got a new Samsung s5 from work and wanted to find out the easiest way to transfer my stuff from my iPhone to this new phone.

most of the stuff I found by searching google just gave me product reviews.

You can't transfer most things unless they have their own applicants specific cloud. It's hard to give you help on transferring stuff when we don't know what you're transferring.

 

oh okay, ummm I took my phone to a store and the man transferred my contacts but he said I have to download something to transfer music, photos and messages.

I tried the Samsung smart switch app but its not working for me.

 

Just upload all your music and photos to Google Drive and re-download on the Samsung..

It is very hard to do so. Iphone and Samsung DO NOT like each other ofcourse to why would they make it easy to transfer? exactly, they dont.. my friend and I spent over 3 hrs trying to figure it out for him before so I would jsut suggest to try to transfer it manually. As painful as it may be it may be worth it

How did he transfer the contacts? ive tested alot of free programs but theres bulk doubles and it pissed me off

he plugged both phones into this Gameboy like thing and transferred all my contacts, because I figured that would be the hardest to move over.

haven't figured out how to move other stuff over yet. I need to buy a memory card which will have enough space for my photos music etc.

 

Because I only have 16gb of un-expandable memory on my phone, I upload all my photos on online harddrives like Google Drive or Dropbox. You can put music up in there as well

You can upload photos on your dropbox through IOS, but I don't think that you can do the same with music

By doing this, you wont have to download your files and have them take up space on your phone. You will always have direct access to them as long as you have an internet connection (I use an unlimited 3g plan, so this is great for me)
