Did a 11 mile hike in about 3 hours a couple weeks ago. Was pretty good.

What's not the cool part of Texas? You have the least densely populated county in the US! I want that!

Do you do any winter hiking in the snow etc? I'm thinking of doing it this year, not something I've purposely done before.

    Hiking

I did short walks during the winter. It's still fun but colder and there is a lot of snow near me and I do not have snowshoes so it is much more tiring and annoying.

    Hiking

As a kid I had to walk to my bus stop in a few feet of snow and -45C weather if that counts. I used to love going for walks in the snow when it's not in the peak harshness of a Northern Ontario winter. I also enjoy hikes during the summer but with my girlfriend tearing her acl we didn't get out much.

    Hiking

I had the same urge a while back - decided to book a holiday with a pb member that I'd never met before and we went and climbed Snowdon in Wales and spent the week venturing round walking or on our bikes. You should definitely go for it.

Went on a hike with the GF yesterday, pictures are really small for some reason. I think I need to change the settings on my phone (they show up as large on my phone but not when I send them to my PC)

Hes WAY off point about tx in this regard. We have rivers, mountains, plains, canyons, hill country, deserts, large lakes ect ect. Very diverse geography. If you are willing to travel about texas offers some great offerings. I LOVE it.

Plan on going go to turner falls here soon. Its in OK, has a castle and a ton of caves and shit. Weather permits my lady and I will camp out. If not I may get a cabin.
