    Oh what to do?

I've always loved playing Runescape, and have been playing 10 years on/off but mostly on. I've always found it so much more fun when you have friends to play with, no matter what you're doing in the game. Now the problem that ruined the game for me was RWT. I've always loved having good stats that cost money, but when I feel like I want to buy 99 prayer I look at it as real life money and it just pushes me away from the game more and more. I'm currently 17 and would like some advice from all of you, feel free to voice your opinion in any way.

Should I just quit the game and move on? (Even though I'll still remain active on Sythe and still do services for any needs. This topic is just about playing for my own fun)

Or Should I continue to play the game, and not worry about spending gp on skills rather than looking it as Real-life money?

    Oh what to do?

Either see it as an investment, or make a cost efficient account. Perhaps a nice pure or tank or something?

Dont quit rs when u enjoy it :)

Choose a percentage of your profit that you want to invest on your account in game and then go from there, do your services, and everything and whenever you make some cash take a bit out for fun and sell the rest. That way you are profiting and also having fun at the same time. That's usually what I do.

That's just you getting older. If you'd prefer the real life money more than the entertainment of playing the game, then stop doing so. If you prefer the entertainment, keep playing.

    Really not super complicated.

    Oh what to do?

You can do both. Sell a certain amount every 20M you make or something. Have it like a checking/savings account.

Every 5M you make, save a certain amount to be sold or kept to train with.

I'm just taking my time and building a self sustainable account... Where I can make just about everything I need myself instead of relying on other people to sell it to me.

Ehh. I've been playing since I was 7 but I'm only 15. I don't have as much fun anymore either. I only play 4 hours a week now. You get older and you realize the game honestly is a waste of time. It's up to you, I wish I could still enjoy the game like I used to.

    Oh what to do?

I was in the same boat as you. You will one day realize this game is nothing but a waste of time and realize how much REAL money you can make off RWT, vs wasting it on virtual skills that will be worth nothing in the future. Think. I don't even play this game for fun anymore, it's more like a job now.

    Oh what to do?

dont RWT if you enjoy playing with friends just be friendly to people at the GE and make In-game friends to play with. Play legit, dont RWT and you wont see a monetary value.

That monetary value perception on life will fuck with you later on my man. you need to learn that some things cost to do and you need to weigh up if they are 'worth' the money.

For example, it costs about $50 a week in fuel to drive my car.. but its worth it? and i spend hundreds on food just so im not hungry so why not spend $7 worth of gold having fun playing a game rather than thinking into it too much :p
