Chances / repurcussions if caught paying someone to get my firecape?

I have a high level account that is my pride and joy and I am not willing to take a risk with it.

However I suck ass and want a firecape

I live in New Zealand so I would imagine it would be easy for Jagex to see a very different IP addresss logging in to my account to firecape.

Has anyone been caught doing this? What happened?

 

Ive always bought my fire capes, you'll be good if you just order from a trusted user and not fall for any imposters. You wont get banned for doing it, your account could get locked though but if it gets locked just recover it and you'll get it back

I bought one on my main account and I had no problems, account wasn't even locked after that

 

The biggest risk you have when buying a fire cape is buying off of someone who isn't trusted and them taking all of your stuff. If you buy from a legitimate users I don't think you should have any problems.

 

This is literally no risk. You have no problem at all.

 

I bought my firecape and kiln cape no worries. The worst they'd possibly do is lock your account for your own protection thinking it's a hacker. This happened to me once and all I had to do was click a link on an email they sent me to unlock the account. Just do it.

 

In my experience the ban rate for getting services done on your account (by hand) is slim to none unless some fishy business/botting is going on.

Jagex is more concerned about big-RWT and Botting vs account sharing as a service.
