    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152601

Thoughts, came with free 13000ma juice pack. 1481$ total.

The reason I bought this gaming laptop is because I had to sell my desktop rig due to the fact that I'm having a baby and there's very little room in my house. I don't want to give up gaming so that's why I bought this laptop. Please review the laptop and the price and tell me if there's anything better that I should have gotten because I can still return it anytime. Although I think this is the best deal on the internet currently.

I think it's a very strong gaming build.

P.S. You bought it with the Coinbase bounty you received? :p

Impressive pc, even for a laptop it's a good rig but I do prefer the desktops. They can be overclocked while laptops can't or they just have a sooo damn low changes if overclocked.

Not sure why you would even want to overclock that...

He was saying overclocking laptops isn't a good idea while desktops are a better option for oc.

He was saying he would prefer a desktop version over your laptop, but with specs like that, I don't know why you'd bother overclocking.

That is a fantastic rig, and the 870m is a good card. for the price, that's a pretty nice setup.

If it were me, since MSI just unveiled their laptops with the new 970/980M cards, I would have waited until they started selling those. Granted, you wouldn't have gotten near the smoking deal you got on that laptop you have there.

double-post (sorry) but that 750m SLI setup is pretty beastly. MUCH faster than a single 850. performs similar to an 870M.

I looked at the y50 but I can't get it with an i7 without it being touchscreen and I don't want it touch screen. Also there are reports that a lot of people have been getting the shitty screens instead of the advertised 4k screens that some were supposed to get. The gigabyte though looks promising. I'm going to have to look up some reviews. I'm not wanting to do ultra-heavy gaming and I can live with playing games on medium settings.

Also I've never heard of Gigabyte.

If you have no idea about gaming and about desktops/laptops then its better for you to stop. A desktop pc is way more configurable when it comes to buying different parts if you want to upgrade rather than having low or just no options upgrading a laptop. When it comes to gaming ANYONE can agree with me and say that a pc rig is better because of many things , mostly bc you can make it work even better and faster than a laptop. Not only that but the cooling in PCS is something that people need to look at. Pcs don't usually overheat like laptops tend to. You can get any item cheaper than it will cost in a laptop. A titan would cost more than 2k if it would be designed for a laptop so yeah.
Why even the OP sold his PC ? Because the laptop will be better for him in terms of gaming? Yeah , thats what i thought..

Did you read the OP? He is having a kid and needed the space for said kid and kid stuff. My sister just had a baby and they take up a fuckload of space so I feel your pain OP. Also good job on knocking up your wife. (not sarcasm)

Some people need laptops because they're on the move. If you're not trying to play absolutely soul crushingly high settings games then I don't really see there being too much of an issue with using a laptop. You can buy things to help with laptop cooling and laptops have become a lot more upgradable than they used to be. They're not up to snuff with a desktop in terms of upgradability but they can be upgraded if you cared enough to.
