Accounts being sold.

I don't know if I am the only one who thinks like this... Whenever I scroll through the account's section, mostly the 2007 accounts, and I see their stat pictures being taken at the Duel arena I normally conclude that they have just been staking and essentially lost their bank and are trying to sell/recover in order to get more gold. :idea:

What's your take on this notion?

 

Well any account can be recovered and resold. Yeah it could be the case though since it would be a rational reason for that to be the place.

I do see most of the accounts as being 'recovered' accounts.

 

Honestly, most account will fetch more than 40$, which is usually enough to make a newcomer/vader scam. I do not trust ANY non-donor/trusted accounts for sale. I wouldn't jump to the duel arena conclusion though. For example, the osrs main that I sold had pics from duel arena, however the trade went smoothly and I'll never recover it. That's just where I spent my time leading up to the sale :O.

 

Just buy accounts from trusted users. Solves most of the problems.

 

Agree with purchasing from trusted users only.

Or you can buy skilling/questing services on the account. That's probably the safest bet out there if you don't wanna do yourself.

After that, botting is always a solution but high risks for some stuff.

 

It's always been like this..

Lost money gambling/pking
Sells account and claims they stopped playing the game even though they accept rsgp as a payment
Recover account and repeat

 

That's why people should be careful when buying an account.

 

true but it could just be a place thats busy so people dont think they are up to anything

 

You never know with accounts, accounts bought to be re-sold are generally risky. Owners with great rep are the best, but still, you never know.
