I'm sure someone worthy of being the next CEO will bring lots of development to the games they produce.

LOL CEOs are out for the money. If they had the option to make your characters nude and could make mils off it they'd go for it. They couldn't care less how fun a game is, as long as they're filling their pockets with that green. RS is dying and will continue to do so with new shifts of power.

RS has sadly died. They could have used micro-transactions just for things like emotes and costumes and general cosmetics. As soon as it became pay 2 win, the wheels were set in motion. Having said that, I still think it will continue for a good few years simply because it still has a large enough population.

This is odd coming from you, weren't you the one that called me a 'hipster' because I said the exact same thing about RS not too long ago? I was also bashing their graphical updates which also might have been why I was called a hipster...which also made little sense because it's the majority that don't like the graphical updates (most of them, not all graphical updates).

I pray no changes are made to EoC. I personally have fallen in love with it for bossing ect.

But lately for slayer and certain bosses im having a blast with legacy.

I hope he will attempt to develope legacy a bit more, making it more stable, less buggy and alot more smoothe.

However I think we will see alot of changes. MOD MMG WAS A NOOB.

Also if you think RS IS paytowin you are full of fucking shit.

EVEN IF YOU HAVE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IRL

You will still spend more time maxing then getting 90 on world of warcraft and max gearing.

    just saying

THE GAME IS NOT THAT PAY TO WIN

I agree with this to a large extent. It's pay to win to a degree but at least with it being bonus xp instead of just outright xp, you still need to play to earn xp. Not to mention you can get bonus xp in a myriad of ways, not just paying real life money. However, some promotions are still largely pay to win I feel like. Back when they did the prismatic lamp promotion, that was pretty much pay to win because xp was being directly applied to your account and that was way too overpowered.

As far as EoC goes, I actually agree there too. I'm used to EoC. My main gripe has always been the cartoony graphics updates. I understand some people like it but I cannot stand that shit.

Even with all the bxp, it's way more of a grind than as you already mentioned, World of Warcraft.

Actually, even with bonus xp all the way to 99 in every stat including 120 dung.

This game is grindier then any KR/NA/BR game I have ever played. sometimes I feel like it would make more sense to cut all xp to 99 in half. So that new players dont quit on the first day when they login get a skill to 20 in 10 minutes then find out to get it 99, itll take 100s of hours or 100s of millions of gp.

    #gotakillthegrindscape

    You figure

To actually be competitive at PVM. Lets say, the best moneymaking method in RS is Vorago with a professional PVM Team. You need Comp cape+BiS weps to even do that.

So thats not even possible within a year. K so I cant even do the funnest looking raid boss for over a year? wat the fuck?

Then you have to take into account, the only non raid boss thats actually doable to make GOOD Money 5m+ /h is Queen black dragon.

    To kill her efficiently.

Overloads, (Extreme ranging is good) super ranging wont do it.

    Super anti fire.

    Royal CBOW/Ascensions

    Drygores/Seismics

Every other method is obsolete to these kill times.

Lets take a moment and look at overloads/super antifires.

    85 herb =50m minimum.
    96 herb? 100m+

Warbands? GL getting in a FC 99% of every FC in warbands now days are full and arent accepting people.

    So now lets discuss

    Ascensions/seismics

Ascensions have proven time and time again to be the best weapon in the game in terms of speed killing for Every boss discluding vorago, and rots. Personally seismics destroys this but ascensions>all else.

So with all that past us.

    Turmoils. 95 pray= 150m minimum.

so this new player, not only has to grind millions of xp. Take hundreds of hours, be bored as fuck.

Because 1. Rs3 is not social like it use to be. Everyone is about xp gains and nobody socializes. So thats killed that.

So he grinds by himself hundreds of hours upon hundreds of hours.

now hes gotta start pvming from the bottom at the measily 2m/h methods on moneymaking because thats the best hes going to get.

He needs to do this for hundreds of hours.

    Afterwards quest cape

    hundreds of hours

    you see where im going.

this game has to change or it has no future.

It has to become easier. New players are not going to play this shit.

He wouldn't have had much control anyway. Runescape is mostly owned by investors, which is why they're only interested in making money and don't care about the game.

    @sazy

Sound analysis. I agree. Game does have to become easier, which it has. I think they need to make skilling a good money-maker again, as it stands really only PvM is good for money, or Runecrafting now that the rune D&D was released. I think that would make it easier too for people to grind out gear+stats.

Regardless, Runescape's on its last legs. Hopefully it has another 5+ yrs left though...but we'll see.
