The universe a part of something bigger?

I just thought about a scene from the movie men in black, that our entire galaxy was a play marble for an alien kid. I think it is completely possible that our entire universe is a atom sitting on top of a person's fing. There are different theories some suggest that all black holes create their own universe, what are your alls thought bout this?

 

That we're atom sitting on someone's finger doesn't work. The universe and the structure of an atom are drastically different - but I understand the analogy.

We could for sure be a droplet is a vast sea of universes, but there's no way to tell, and there's no way to get out.

It is extremely doubtful that blackholes have their own universes, and I'd love to see your source for that statement.
edit: ie an actual peer-reviewed article. Nikodem Popławski has theorized it, but I can't find any published journal articles, just a bunch of pop-news reporting on it.

 

Maybe not an atom, but it is very possible we are all existing inside of a brain cell within someone's skull. Check this out.

Some some people don't understand how "big" big actually is. Although I understand the point on size being relative. It's still absurd (and pointless) to think of anything bigger than our universe.

Jesus Christ, man. That is one big ass cluster of galaxies -- I'll give you that much for sure. However, does a pinhead not seem galaxy-sized to an amoeba? We are clearly beginning to have a grasp on how large the universe is... but perhaps we have not even begun to grasp how small we are.

 

The Universe is far more than what man can explore or even imagine. Its that our minds are too small to go to an extent to imagine something like the size of the universe.

 

That's one of the most interesting things I've witnessed in a while; it's scary how similar those two are.

Personally, I have no clue, but it could be very possible that we are part of something unknown to us, something bigger.

 

Moving to general as this really isn't a debate.

 

It's hard not to be live that were not the only" intelligent" lifeforms in the galaxy. I be live there are other sustainable worlds and other complete galaxies as well. But we can't know for sure. And I can't say if we ever will. Its all just about tour opinion right now. But that's something that will drive you crazy to think about." If our universe ends, what begins after it ends? And if it doesn't end, where and what does it lead too?".

 

The principles of a multiverse--a larger structure, containing perhaps an infinite number of smaller universes--is well supported by the latest developments in physics. Additionally, we have only just begun our endeavor to understand the constituent parts of the brain that make up even our own consciousness; in the vast multiverse, can we--a group of apes--even begin to fathom the other sorts of consciousness that Nature, in her grandeur, animates?

 

Can't really say at this point. There is possible evidence of this being the truth but right now we cannot solve this/fathom it.

 

It's crazy to think about it, but I myself believe that we are just a small speck within a much bigger space (our universe at least)...

 

We are incredibly, almost inconceivably small in the scope of our universe, let alone what is beyond our own universe.
