Thoughts on Apple Watch?

Does anyone plan on actually buying this?

I thought it was a bit disconcerting that it was only rated as water resistant, I wouldn't want to shell out $350 on a watch and have it break because of rain. Also the battery life is only rated at 48 hrs, which makes it inconvenient IMO.

What are your thoughts?

To be honest, it looks pretty fucking cool.
I also think the battery life makes it inconvenient but I guess it makes sense since it has to run all those functionalities.
I like how they made several different models as well.

 

I wanna see it in person, before i say anything.

$350 kinda pricey for a watch.

Those don't support NFC either as well, but still a cheap alternative

I think apple might be a bit behind the eight ball in comparison to android though.

I've been an apple fan since iPhone 3 but am looking to go to the Samsung S5 once my contract ends later this year

Tbh I would rather carry a phone on me, I have not worn a watch in years.

 

I use a watch everyday, i dont mind spending $350 on this when i have bought omegas worth over $5000. Plus the skeleton X-ray on standard!! How cool is that.

 

Apple's Iwatch is actually a very good watch, with the features it contains, I won't mind buying a watch for $350.
However, $350 dollars on a watch isn't worth the money, I'd look through it a few times. If it's something that would be useful in my everyday life, I would buy it.

Also, the maximum I've spent on a watch would be $220 for a G-Shock.

No. I see no need. If I did I would have bought one long before now.

 

Apple got more details right on their watch than the vast majority of Swiss and Asian brands do with similarly priced watches, and those details add up to a really impressive piece of design. It offers so much more functionality than other digitals it’s almost embarrassing

 

In my opinion, it's a useless overpriced piece of junk with little to no innovation. Typical Apple product as of lately.

 

I wouldn't get it but I have no doubt they're going to execute it and it's going to do a lot better than the flop galaxy watch. Like everything else this will really step up the watch game if there is a market, if not I don't think anyone can capitalize on it.
