No more randoms!

Random events used to be an effective way to reduce the early on, low-tech bots that were once found in RuneScape. As bots have become progressively smarter, random events have lost their purpose and can no longer help us with catching bots.

As a result of this, as well as a lot of player feedback, random events have now been changed to be entirely optional.

When a random event decides to appear you will have a choice to click them and choose to start the event or to ignore them and let them disappear. If you choose to ignore them they will not interrupt anything you are doing and will disappear after a small amount of time.

Lol. Bots were already qualified to do bots very easily

Oh wow, I wasn't even aware of this update. Tread carefully, mods can still catch you.

Always threads about people asking for free bots/which ones are best. Sure you can find something there!

 

Bots should of been already able to do the randoms easily but ok

 

Literally all Jagex has to do is record the coordinates of your cursor. Randomizing mouse movements enough to not have repetitive motions would take AGES to write, and nobody in their right minds wouldn't charge out the ass for it. This changes nothing about botting. There WILL always be botting, but it will get harder as developers get new software to catch them.

EDIT: They stated the reasoning for doing away with them in the first place was because botting software had come too far for the randoms to even catch them anymore. They're not catching people via randoms.

 

They could do it lol. This updates makes it faster tho.

 

I love the fact you can just ignore the npcs used to hate these ent randoms
