Is 07 even worth playing?

What do y'all think? Might get back into RS but I'm not sure if it's even worth it.

Not that I'm not into it, what I meant is the player base still large enough to enjoy it? Like PKing, mini games, and player interactions that made it fun!

 

Its best if you are going to get back into to it to join a scoial clan or something along those lines. I have met a decent fair few people who would do random things with randoms but most of the time people are either merching or too busy doing their own things to care.

I hated it. Just felt so dated but that is what so many people love about it.

 

The only thing the game needs is a resizable graphics update. When you first start playing you're going to have a hell of a lot of difficulty adjusting to the tiny ass screen; not only because you're used to HD, Fullscreen RS but also because your computer monitor is probably higher resolution than it was in 2007 - making the client appear even smaller on the screen.

If you can get past that, and you do after a couple of days, its a far better game than RS3 is in terms of feeling purposeful and streamlined. There's none of this bloat that RS3 has, stuff is worth like 10x more in terms of effort required; which is nice, things in RS3 have become pretty meaningless. Runescape is a grindfest and when you grind in OSRS you feel like you know why you're doing it and you know that when you achieve a 99 its actually going to be an achievement.

Yes, play OSRS, especially if you played runescape in the early days - the community is much better and if I'm honest, the smaller dev team is far better at PR.

I think that a big part of it for me is going to be ruined by the trading post though, which is a shame.

 

Set your screen's resolution to one of the lowest settings and open the game in an internet browser. Press f11 to enlarge your view. And there you go, full screen.

Anyone going to answer my question on PKing activity?

 

Well if you very good pk'er - maybe, but first you need to create account, train it, add some money to gain stats. It will take a lot of time and begining would be hard. Thats my opinion.

Yeah im not one for pking so i cant help you with that one. Ive played since 04 and i never stuck with making a pure XD. and ive only recenlty had an account hit 100cb sooooi didnt main pk either

 

I mean pking is doing decent, however if you join a pure clan then it'll be lots of fun as you can go into like the 20 v 20 and 30 v 30 fights
