Price of gold dropping

Anyone know why this is? I've been noticing the price of gold dropping on 07, and quite steadily actually. I've been constantly monitoring the prices on playerauctions and wow, just a few weeks ago people were paying 58$ for 15M, now prices are about 45$ for 15m.

 

People say because the end of summer and students are going back to school but it could be many reasons.

 

I mean most likely like zgangz said, It is because everyone is going back to school (which actually lowers the playerbase by ALOT), but idk rs has been dying for sometime anyway lol

 

I think that it is also due to the fact that people are realising the game isn't going to last for a whole lot longer so its going to be a bad investment. But there are definitely many other reasons aswell.

 

Playing legacy, and school started again. Probably burnt out on scaping all summer, they're glad to be back @ school.

 

Everyone has been saying Runescape has been dying forever yet they're still around. I don't think it is safe to say Runescape will be gone soon. Because I don't think it will be.

 

Summer season is over thats one of the reasons why the gold have decreased a bit.

 

07 prices are higher now than they were a year ago. Just sayin'

 

Its just because school is starting so less people are playing, if you hold onto your gold it will become more in demand and it may raise in price though.

 

Honestly prices of gold will always fluctuates. 07 Gold will never go under $2 per mil. Many kids are back to school so prices drop but just wait a bit and it'll raise again.

RSGP (or any MMO gold) is like drugs. They sell themselves and they'll always sell.

 

Yea, less people playing which means less people buying

 

I think Rs3 is lowering cuz the hype for legacy is over.

 

Legacy gold is dropping too since the hype is over kinda mike mrevilpwns said.

 

the price needed to drop aswell, 3,4$ a mil like wtf?
i think its the amount of gold being pumped into the game, basic items have dropped alot aswell.

 

Are you sure it wont drop below $2? now it reached $2.And it seems it wont stop dropping -.-

 

07 prices are aloooot higher atm, i bought 10m for 30 bucks when the rate was 1:17........
But still in the long run i dont see a reason why it wont come down to .5 because more and more gold will be injected...

 

bots were all banned a 1-2 months ago, gold farmers were giving up because they were getting banned so fast but now ofcourse they are figuring out ways. I do alot of merchanting on 07 and am seeing tons of gold farmers with heaps of botted items comming back, so i think that may be why the gp price is going back down.

 

Ban wave that happened a little bit ago. Recent bots have updated their botting techniques and people are beginning to understand different types of methods.

Bots such as TriBot and OSbot are implementing specific mechanisms to their bots.
