Next Gen... How many of you regret it?

I don't find myself playing PS4 much at all, although I'm sure I'll spend more time on it once more AAA titles are released later on. As of now, I'd rather have the $400 back and put it into my PC.

 

I got my Xbox One on the day of release and played maybe a total of 80 hours on it.
They brought it out far too soon. There's barely any games for it and it just feels overly complicated.
Half the features I would never even bother trying to use. To me it just feels like a fancy theme for an Xbox 360.

 

Everything about the Xbox 360 interface is SUPERIOR to the Xbox One's as it stands, in my opinion.

 

Yeah I'd agree with this. The xbox one's is newer and looks flashier with its simplistic design but the xbox 360's interface is hands down easier to use.

 

I mean, to be able to pick up where you left off in your game immediately is nice in terms of the Xbox One, but I don't know why I have to go through a mess of convoluted menus to get to my friends list or achievements. It is tedious and annoying.

They really need to streamline + improve the Xb1 interface. It's been a year now, no excuse for it still to be a convoluted mess.

I also still can't get over how games need to be installed. My buddy said it took him 2 hours before he was able to play Madden.

Xbox One regresses gaming in so many ways.

Other little, but annoying things about Xb1, in my opinion:

Hate that there's no bio + motto anymore. Was a cool little feature

Hate the array of gamerpictures on Xb1, look retarded. Loved the huge selection of Gamerpics on the 360.

 

I have both the ps4 and the Wii U. A few releases I'm looking forward to are:
Destiny
Super Smash brothers Wii U
Cod Adv. Warfare.

I don't regret buying them at all, gives me something to do while I fish myself some leapin fishies on rs3!

 

I got Diablo 3 for Xb1, figured I had to get some kind of use out of the unit. I don't regret it. Have a lot of friends to play with. I've always thought of Diablo as a console style, fine tuned (albeit much more linear) Runescape. That and of course a mix of Blizzard's other products like WoW (to a small degree).

I'd recc Diablo 3, lots of fun.

 

Is this Madden 15? That's crazy.

So it's an online MMO kind of game? Would you be able to give me a tl;dr of it? Might pick it up for 360

 

Not quite an MMO, but an Action RPG game with co-op or single player, it's much more linear than a Runescape or WoW. Have you played Torchlight ? It's got a lot of similarities to Torchlight.

I would recc getting the Xb1 version because it has the latest patch that he Pc version has AND it will be updated with any future content free of charge. It also has bonus content that the 360 version also has, but I think it's worth paying the extra 20 to play on Xb1 as I'm not sure the 360 version will get the patch updates.

It's basically a dungeon crawler game and is quite addicting. There are I believe 6 types of classes you can choose from.

I put over 100 hours into the 360 version. With add-ons I expect to play D3 on Xb1 for another 100.

 

Yeah sounds like something that bares investigation. With me selling my Xbox One however that's out of the question so it'll be either 360 or bust.

 

Do 360 then. Only 40 bucks. Definitely worth it.

 

Is the expansion worth getting too? I have two options, either Diablo stand alone for $38 or Diablo Ultimate Evil Edition for $47.50 which contains the expansion reaper of souls

 

Yeah definitely get Reaper of Souls. It's not just the expansion but it's the latest patch game with other content the standalone version does not have.

 

Alright that'll be my choice once I get around to it. I won't be purchasing it just right now as I have other priorities to get to but perhaps after my exams I can get balls deep in a new game.

 

Well obviously it's going to be a little boring since not too many games are out yet. I have both XB1 and PS4 and I don't regret buying them.

 

I really need an Xbox One for Forza Horizon 2

 

Never had a console but I am pretty sure it would be fun as well especially relaxing in your couch/bed while playing video games. :nuts:

 

Bought the wii u, love it so much can't wait for smash bros ha.

My gaming computer from 3 years ago is just as good as these "next gen" consoles so I didn't need to buy a ps4 or xb1

 

I never had a console and if I ever get a Xbone and a Wii U, I would be really happy.

 

Have a psp, ps4, 360, one. But only 1 thing i use pc.....

And most of o u have bought xbox one? Nuts? Ps4 > xbox one. That one was so damn clear...
