WTF just happened.. ban wave?

I'm wondering if it's just me or what? I had about 12 bots running on 4 different computers in 3 different states and they was all running different shit but all but one computer had the same thing in common... RC bot.. all of them was banned at the same time so.. is it just me or? what's going on? also tribot is acting funny for some.. one of the accounts made it through though and it's still botting agility right now.. it was the only bot running on 1 of the 4 computers so =/ wasn't using any proxies or vps/vpns... just had 4 comps in 3 states.. Texas/North Carolina/Florida. anyone else getting banned?

 

I would suggest trying other clients, the issue may be that tribot is/was detectable. I'd suggest osbot/tribot.

All 7 of my woodcutting bots, and my main account got banned today. The gold farming bots got permed, and my main got a one year ban, gutted, haha.

 

Your accounts were most likely picked up as a bot soon after you started running it. They observe the behavior of the bots to improve their system before banning them. Sounds like these bans were scheduled.

Is the reward worth it if the risks are too high?

 

This. Jagex usually detects when one account is a bot and investigates into the possibility of a bot farm with other accounts from the same user traced through it. You weren't using proxies or VPNs. They pretty much knew and were just waiting for something to confirm that it was true and just banned at the right time. If your client was acting funny then that was probably the thing that triggered their confirmation.

 

Not much you can really do to prevent this, other than to get lucky and just not leave your bots on for just as long. But then again, major money isn't made without major risk.

Really depends on what you think is worth it. If higher chance of getting banned is worth higher profits, then so be it. But the sad part is that these ban waves happen so often that the risk sometimes isn't even worth it.

 

There been a "ban wave" since the introduction of Jagex anti-bot system.

 

Banrate seems to be about the same between most bots in my experience.

Did you ever bot on the main, at all?
I assume you traded gold/goods between your main and farm, but did this for a while before getting caught?
What type of ban did your main yet, RWT or botting?

I don't subscribe to the theory of any major bot client (at least currently/for RS07) being intolerantly detectable.
However yes, bans do happen on a schedule, I believe aftternnon in UK time on Tuesdays is when bans typically happen (something like that).

This. Anytime you bot, you run a potential risk of getting banned.

As for them all getting banned at once, this happens to people too, Jagex uses some sort of info (believe to be at least IP address, maybe more) to link your accounts and ban them all at once, however this doesn't necesarily mean a ban-wave happened.

If Jagex is ever purposely doing some sort of ban wave/mass banning, trust me, you'll hear about it via a post on the official Runescape site, Jagex likes to show the public/legits all of their efforts against botting.

Bascially yeah, ban rates have just been high overall recently, but no waves/mass bans have happened recently, just normal botting bans for people botting.


Try using different IPs/Proxies on each account (or group of accounts) next time, and maybe even different machines or VPSs for each and see if that helps at all. Or just expect/account for the bans, and profit before them, and repeat the cycle.

Botting is very detectable in nowadays, not recommended to bot or just log in into bot client now.

not true.. i have successful bots that i just recently stopped botting a week ago.. now i'm waiting to see if any time release thing is going on.. 1 account made it and remind you these bots was on different computers in different states.. also i have a friend who was peroxided up and banned on 4 accounts.. so i'm thinking something major happened like the client became detectable all of the sudden or a mass id change up

 

i still have 3 maxed mains that are successful bots --- if you look up "Gonzales" that's my main i haven't botted it in almost a year tho..


i have a few player mods going to investigate shit to their best ability without looking too obvious and i might have a insider in jagex staff soon so .. maybe i can effectively leak information without getting that person in trouble/fired whatever. i know the mods don't get access to much information but they do get heads up on some shit

 

Not true? Yet the majority of your bots are banned, along with many others. Just take a stroll around the two bot forums to see the daily complaints. In the past, it was never like this. If you were banned back then, it was because you botted for over 24 hours continuously. Now, you don't even have to bot more than an hour to get caught. Why is everyone so quick to deny the ability of Jagex's bot detection when they experienced it first hand? Oh well.

 

My gold farming bot gets banned (using osbot) after I run it a total of 20-30 hours.

Note: I dont run it 20hrs straight max 5 hours straight.

Due to the similarity between the time when I made my bot member and it got banned I do think jagex watches the bots. I also believe it is to prevent botting in the future and detect clients to a better extent.

 

Only botted Rock Crabs and Oak Plank running on the main, and yes I did trade logs between accounts but only did this 4 or 5 times before getting banned. Got banned for "macroing major" on all of the woodcutters and my main got banned by a bot buster haha.

 

still have a bot going strong and started up 2 more since.. no ban.. not saying it wont happen or they're not waiting but i'm telling you their is success

 

Just my luck, as soon as I login to a bot I get a 48 hour ban. Just happy it is not permanent but I'm on a 3 day weekend now.
