    I called and I am correct.. Not only that, I had tons of experience dealing with gift payments to fully understand it's function.

    Op do not listen to this guy. Your account may be scrutinized and possibly exempt from accessing gift payments. There is a reason why the option to dispute a gift payment is not available.

    The only way to "chargeback" a gift is if it came from a source outside of paypal, eg: Bank or credit/debit card. Your paypal balance is not coming from an external source and the only way for it to be related to your bank is if you transfer the funds from the balance to it.

    @Booster

    What makes his dispute valid if he authorized the payment? Are you using false logic to justify your course of action? Either way most of what you said was wrong. If you want to debate about this, feel free to pm me.

    You don't have to listen to me. I'm simply a voice of reason.

    You can file a unauthorized claim / dispute on -any- PayPal payment and get it back easily. I'll make a 100$ bet on this. Send me 100$, I'll send 200$ and dispute it, I keep it all.

    Many people throw around the word chargeback too loosely. You can dispute it or claim it was unauthorized, both are chargebacks.

    Dont listen to anyone who says a gift can't be disputed.

    I think that theres allways a chance of your account being locked. This all is fullfilled with bullshit so act at your own and if you want to risk it then risk. Otherwise just dont do that.

    heres the problem if his paypal is unverified that means theres no bank account added and therefore the name is probably fake and prepaid credit card was used big possibility. it also depends on how u sent the money if u sent it with ur paypal balance u prob wont see the money again if you paid with your bank/credit card just go to the bank/credit company and say it was a unauthorized transaction they will make u sign a paper saying u didnt authorize the payment and they will refund your account in a few business days as for putting in a dispute with an unverified paypal account paypal wont do anything there rules changed few years ago and paypal wont do anything about it nowadays paypal is almost the worst payment method known to man because of the loop holes and paypal protecting scammers.

    It is possible to win through Unauthorized Payment. Multiple times I have been charged back, first one was around $300 which I lost, and second was $50 which I won. The first one I didn't even get the chance to dispute which was really weird, I had emailed PayPal and they responded it wasn't under buyer protection. The second one I did get a chance to respond and wrote that he had paid for a virtual item (runescape gold) which I had already sent him, and gave them a call about it and I won the dispute. So there is a way you can win this charge back.
