They retained everyone in the Off season, there record after the Gay trade was 42-24 which shows of projected record of 54-28 if they had started with that roster from the start... They are ranked top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency... (One of the few in the East). They have great chemistry and tasted the playoff's once already in all honesty I think the Raptors just might surprise everyone... It takes more then superstars to win the Raptors have great chemistry I look forward to watching how this new Eastern Conference plays out.

Knicks and lakers will make it to the post season

The heat had terrible defense, yet they were able to get to the finals each time and the first with no chemistry. The east is just bad. The only competition the cavs face are the bulls and wizards I assure you derrick rose won't be playing in the post season. The wizards are still too young and paul pierce is too old to be leading them anywhere. He won't be able to physically keep up with the cavs.

The raptors? Are you high? They won't make it pass the first round again, I assure you.

The lakers won't make it passed the second round, same with the knicks. It will be the cavs vs the spurs in the finals. It's a given..

Ok big boy put your money where your mouth is i'm willing to gamble any amount of money the Raptors will pass the first round do you actually believe the Knicks will win the Atlantic division? It's almost guaranteed the Raptors are finishing top 4 in the East and the Wizard's please last season Raptors raped the Wiz 3/4 meetings... It took a triple over time game for the Wiz to beat the Raptors at which point it was who ever wasn't fouling out wins. Brooklyn a team that swept the Heat and had crazy playoff experience only won by 1 fucking point against a young roster with 0 experience.

Ah man this is so jokes 2016 when Kevin Durant decides to come to Toronto instead of his home town of Washington Wizard fan boys are going die haha.

    NBA 2015 Playoffs Final

    East - Bulls/Wizards
    West - Spurs/OKC

Spurs beat the Bulls in the Finals.

Anyone who is doubting the Raptors clearly has no idea what they're talking about.

Fixed the title for you by the way, next year will be the 2015 playoffs.

You're telling me this roster, http://www.nba.com/raptors/roster has a chance of getting passed the first round in a more challenging eastern conference? The team will be a low seed, that's a given. Any team they face, they will lose to.

Yeah the Raptors should be an interesting team to watch this year. About what you said about OKC, it's when, not if. Spurs repeat is happening :D

    ECF:
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Chicago Bulls is the best bet. You can substitute the Bulls for the Raptors or Wizards if all goes very well for them.

    WCF:
San Antonio Spurs vs. [insert team name here]. The West is too deep...

Also, I'm not too high on Toronto. I think they peaked last year in a struggling Eastern Conference. At best, I see them losing in the second round. I maybe wrong, though, we'll just have to wait and see.

As a Knicks fan, I would LOVE to see them in the ECFs, but I doubt it. I think they'll surprise people next year. I'm not saying they'll have a deep postseason run, but I think they will have a respectable playoff seed.

Besides last season the Heat did pretty well defensively in those previous three seasons.

Defensive efficiency ranking for the Miami Heat:
    2010-11: #5
    2011-12: #4
    2012-13: #7

Normally I would agree with you here but seeing as they beat elite West teams last season and some games were very very close I would have to say last season was no fluke. I see the Raptors getting 50-54 wins this season finishing 3rd again or higher they will win the Atlantic for sure which gives them at least 4th.

I'm not discrediting Toronto's wins last season, they were a pretty good team, I just said they may have peaked. Also, it was the regular season. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to a far more experienced team. So, it is reasonable to assume Toronto making the ECFs is a bit of a stretch. However, I maybe proved wrong, and Toronto can be an up-and-coming team. We'll just have to wait and see if the players step up next season.
