Hi guys so I was going to make a new account to bot on.
I have to choose a character name so for fun I type in some rare names.
I typed in 'easter egg' and it was available so quickly I go to rs homepage and log in with my main because I don't want that name on a bot account, so I type in easter egg, it shows are you sure you want to change it to easter egg bla bla bla so I quickly click yes, it loads like 10 seconds and then it shows me the name is unavailable.. fml how much is 'easter egg' worth?

 

Would probably be like 50M-200M depending on who wants it, also maybe this should be moved to the name sales section...

Is this a glitch?
This happened to me aswell. It said the name was ok to change then when I click ok it went to the "server is unresponsive" or whatever so I tried on another account and it said it was take. Then I went back to my main and it said it was avaliable but when I clicked accept it took me back to "server is unresponsive"

Yea tbh it was probably a glitch, I mean what are the chances that you try it, then 10 secs later it's gone...

No, this happened to me a lot, i think you can't make new accounts anyway (for a few days) or something cause people are making to snipe names...

 

It's likely a glitch, but that name isn't worth terribly much since it's so long and has a space. If the name was "Partyhat", it might be a different story.

 

50-200m? fuck Idk. I saw that name a while ago on the lists and passed.

I'm sure even though the name is awkward it would be worth a decent amount. At least the value of an easter egg, I'm guessing Almost, yes, probably a glitch, you should try out other names and see what happens

Sometimes when I entered in names it said they were available even though they weren't, so it happens.

 

it's actually a glitch.
the name is blocked for some reason by jagex.
for example, if you try witching your name to Blazed, it says name is available, But when confirming, it will tell you the name can't be used.

 

It's not a "glitch" per se. Jagex made a post stating that the newly released names cannot be taken on new accounts (to prevent people from making a bunch of accounts and taking names) so as soon as the names were released they WERE available but they're not going to update the availability until a few more weeks. It was never there to begin with so don't be sad
