Hey everyone welcome to my Guide For Rangers (My First Ever Post )

Getting the Knives


Alright to start off you need to buy around 10 rings of forging (or buy them from the jewelery store and enchant them). Then you need to have any pick handy (prefferably rune) and start mining some iron at the fally mines. When you have roughly 1000 iron iron ore wear a ring of forging and smelt the iron. When your finished you should have 1000 iron bars.
Smelt these into iron knives as they are the fastest range weapon in runescape ( I strongly reccomend to stickto iron knives as they are the easiest and it takes to long to mine coal).

P.S - If you run out of knives just repeat this process.


Training Spots


Lvl 1 - 20

I suggest training at the cows near lumbridge. It is good training and if you ever need food you can cook the cow beef and eat it. When ranging here i reccomend to range behind the fence so they can't attack, especially if you are lvl 3 because they can deal out quite alot of damage if your not alert.

Lvl 20 - 40

Now your at the stage when you should train at barbarians in barbarian village in the longhall. Although when you are 20 ranged it can be a bit hard to hit them so you can still stay at the cows for another 5 lvls untill you feel comfortable training at barbarians. At the longhall there are plenty of chairs and tables so there shouldnt be a problem finding a spot to range behind. And if you get damaged just pick up the cooked beef on the table and eat it.

Lvl 40 - 50

Now you have your precious green d hide armour. Well the chaps and vambraces anyway. (If your above level 55 cb i reccomend doing dragin slayer to wear the green d hide body aswell). At this I reccomend training range at rock crabs because they have tons of health.

Lvl 60 - 99

Now you should be wearing red d hide and pretty soon black. When you get to this lvl i highly reccomend completing the waterfall quest to have acces to the fire giants. Once at the fire giants there are lost of stuff to range behind because they are so big and cant fit through much spaces. Also when your here the fire giants drop shield left halves which are worth 700k and d meds which are worth 200k (i got a d med first drop ).

shield halves are no more than 300k

 

I'd call this guide "lack-luster" at best, although I suppose it would help if someone knew absolutely nothing about range training.

 

60-99 is a rather wide gap..not to mention d halves are about 400k..not 700k
