    Which is the right decision?

I've lost a lot of money due to my neglience, failing to be aware of what I do online. I'm completely fine with that, I probably would be mad if I had more time to play which leads me to this.. A good friend of mine offered me 30m to come back to the game and stay, but the thing is I'm gonna be working full time soon and I want to commit myself to what I do in real life rather than this game. I do enjoy playing, but I don't seem to have enough time to fully impact my gameplay since runescape is mostly about the grind. What do you think I should do?

I'll be weighing my options before I decide based on the responses I get

    Which is the right decision?

    Why not do both?

Sure, your primary focus will be on your job and whatever real life business you have going on but you can still play Runescape or w/e when you want, as a hobby, as a relaxing activity. You just have to force yourself to not get addicted to the game and only play it on your free time

what do you enjoy about runescape? the grind? the pvm? the pvp?
Just because you have a full time job does not mean you will have 0 time to yourself and if you wish to spend it on runescape, then you have to ask what you want to do on the game. If its PvM, you can take his 30m and wait for some drops and pay him back, pvp same thing, if its grinding levels and such you dont really need money.

You can keep a balance between the job and the game! though when the job gets tough you stop for a while and then you have some free time, you grind.

As its been said already, do a bit of playing while working your job. Keep your focus on your job and if you find you're having trouble doing so, leave the game.. apologize to your friend and pay him back the 30m. It's not good to not get pleasure out of what you do so if playing gives you that pleasure, continue to play when you're free.

i work a full time job and still put in the time XD its all about prioritizing your free time into chunks of what you want and what you need to do and finding a good balance between the two if you really enjoy playing rs continue to do so in smaller increments

You shouldn't continue, its tempting, but if you are like most people, once you start playing, you will get hooked and thats when you will start neglecting other work you have to do .
However, if you think you can manage it, then by all means go for it.

I understand where you are at because I am kinda the same. I work a 7am-5pm job and also still play. It sounds like you only want to play RS if you can fully commit and be a hardcore player. Personally, for me RS is a hobby in which I enjoy so when I come home from work I hop on and play for an hour or so during the week and go out on the weekends. Some people go on netflix.. some people play console games.. for me.. I work, go to the gym, and the play a little runescape. Find what works for you.

I would never accept the money without fully thinking it through. I play for the grind, I set goals that are grind intensive so I can challenge my self mentally.

I'll probably wait and see how my schedule is going to look. Yeah I dislike the temptation, don't want to get dragged in like I did this summer lol.

It would take me over 200 hours to max out my account (melee wise). I don't have that sort of commitment at this time.

Thanks to everyone who commented. I'll see what happens in the near future.

If you enjoy it, do what you enjoy..unless it's bad for you and you are spending too much irl money on the game....then quit.

You will always have down time. Need I say more? It's up to you to decide what you choose to fill that space with... Is it watching sports, starting a Tv series, playing a game? Keep yourself sane! Life is about time management and if you really want to slip in time to scape and escape... You will find it! :)

What did you decide in the end mate? If you're still playing add me so I will occasionally have someone to talk/do something with as I'll be playing a bit more when I'm back at Uni. Always more fun playing whilst chatting etc with others, gets boring otherwise >.<
