    Bah, post count, shmost count..

I don't know about everyone else..

But I am a forum addict..

Not meaning I have 250+ posts.. even though I do..

I am seriously addicted to forums.. any time I can find an active forum to talk on.. you're damn right I will.. I will talk, and talk, and talk..

And really.. I never cared for the "post count" I always figured it better if you were known without your post count coming into play..

I thought about putting a poll on this, but the numbers don't matter.. I just wanna see if I'm alone or not..

Really, I wouldn't even mind if you got rid of the post count.. we just go off of knowledge of the other players.. :)..

I think that creates a better trust.. quality poster who you've seen before..you trust...

People who have had a bad post before, or bad reputation without the post count.. you don't trust..

The post count is simply a limitator to our reputation... "Oh, he has 300 posts, he must be trustworthy".....they don't even look at the trade with caution rank..

I don't like the Leecher rank either.. kinda sounds...blood sucky.. Maybe something like "Retard" ... they're closely related... just not..blood sucky together..

This is not spam. PLEASE debate your ideas on the post count.. cause really.. I could do without it.

    -shrug-

I liked it more when postcount was disabled and you only knew people by their reputations.

    Bah, post count, shmost count..

I hardly ever post, and when I do it's little replies.

So personally I don't care if they remove postcount.

Post count is good, along with join date because, It tells you how long someones been here, and if they've been here a while, without getting banned then they probably wont scam you, But it can also be a lie too, Take the high ranking people who have scammed and were banned. But for the most part it tells you if they are legit, because if their post count is 500 and join date is a year ago, chances are if they were going to scam they would have by now, and would be banned. NOT always, but for the most part.

See I don't agree with that.. That's why we go by popularity like shin said.. Where everyone was known by their "reputation" not the size of their post count..

I guess it's kinda cool to gain ranks.. but the post count is simply annoying and kinda limits posters if you think about it... I've been here about a month now...look at my post count..

Yeah, you would assume I'm a spammer right ;)... But the point is, I just love to post.. I love talking, and I love making comebacks or agreeing with people..

I've had forum addiction for close to 5 years now :(.. it's sad.

    Bah, post count, shmost count..

I think post count is a good thing. It makes its easier to see who is most likely legit when trading, because why would someone who has taken the time to get 500+ posts just now start scamming. But I'd personally think rep would be a better idea but if people could abuse rep then it wouldn't work.

Leachers are blood sucky, they take (leach) information and other stuff without contributing to the community.

    Bah, post count, shmost count..

I agree post count is a false sense of security. example.

Guy joins and makes 3000 posts on the off topic, something for all, ect... then makes up some bs rep. and goes and scam millions - because a lot of people tend to trust more post count.. just the other day some guy though i should go first because he had 766 post count (at the time) when he had no rep... I had 2 vouches at the time and he thought he was more trusted then me - simply because of post count.

and i typed a lil too much lol o well

    Bah, post count, shmost count..

A little extreme, don't you think? If a guy has 3000+ posts then...

    a) He is banned for spamming.
    b) He posts for a reason, and has more than likely been rewarded.
    c) His name is Pen.
    d) Both b & c.

However, I do believe that post count can be a false representation of who you are on the forums. I like quality not quantity.

I agree with post count, but you also have to put a little effort into not being scammed by people, a lot of it is common sense, do a little research on the person, even if their post count is 1k or something.
