Any good ways to lose belly fat?

    I already walk A LOT, eat right, and do some dumbbell workouts (Curls, upright row, press, overhead press etc) and even tho I've noticed significant improvement for my arms/shoulders etc my stomach is still huge :(

    Walking effects your legs, and those excerises you mentioned also work your arms/shoulders.

    I recently started going to the gym around a ~month ago and what I've noticed is the rower machine works my midsection HARD, and before bed I usually do sit ups (not too intense) and I've noticed some big differences with my stomach, it's best to do interval training (going hard for a minute, slow for 30 seconds, etc)
    This is just personal experience that works for me.

    I also do an exercise called the "bridge" which looks like this;

    You're supposed to hold for as long as you can and you'll really feel it in your midsection.

    Again, I'm no health/exercise guru but I've noticed big differences doing these, I also use the bike/treadmill and dumbbells and stick to 1000-1200 calorie diet with no carbs.

    There are no ways to "just lose belly fat". For example training your mid-section (abs) will help to build muscle in your abs but won't specifically get rid of fat around your mid-section. To get rid of the belly fat, you have to lower your body fat percentage which means you lose body fat all over.

    You've just gotta make sure you maintain a caloric deficit. In my opinion you should also throw in a cheat day once per week (Not too overboard) so your metabolism doesn't slow down and become accustomed to the lower caloric intake. I know this helped me when I plateau'd.

    If you get bored of walking try doing some HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) if you're up to it, swimming or skipping. They are all really good for burning calories. Generally anything that will get your heart rate up. Heck, go have a shed load of sex too!

    On a side note: make sure you go very light on your upright rows, I went too heavy and completed the lift fine but the next day I realized I had sprained my wrists from it, this was over a week ago and it's likely going to be another month before they're 100% again.

    Yeah.. you can't just lose some fat, so ever if you're doing that bridge or cruch shit or whatever the fuck it's not going to "just make you lose belly fat".. Really you just have to lower BF % by eating less and or exercisizing more.

    Also as a male , you tend to accumulate fat first in your midsection and it is really the last "reserve" to be lost :/

    What he said ^^^

    HIIT is one of the best way to lose body fat, and you don't even have to do it for that long. There are a ton of HIIT workouts just google it. They have beginner programs as well.

    Also once you start shedding fat I would stop being catabolic and start hitting the gym working out your diet.

    On this note how big (height/weight/bf%) are you spoderman? Body recomposition is something you can look at potentially.

    Like Jack Goff was saying, you need a calorie deficit. Your diet largely determines whether you gain or lose weight. Working out just improves your cardiovascular system, muscles, etc.

    Just want to ask... Are you only working your arms/shoulders? If so, stop. You should be working your whole body. Only working on arms/shoulders won't make anyone look better, and it doesn't make sense at all if your goal is to get in shape.

    If all you are interested in doing is lifting, I'd recommend a simple 5x5 program like icecreamfitness.

    Weight loss is really much based on what you eat and your exercise. Doing abs training like planking and sit ups merely build muscles and don't actually make u lose belly fat. In fact they will just build up behind ur fat and u will look even fatter. Eat healthy reduce the sugars and go for runs/swimming/skipping. Long distance is good for reducing ur body fat for example its better to jog for 5km in an hr then run it in 30min

    No way to target fat, belly/love handle fat are first to come and last to go, only thing you can do is shred some body fat% and get to 12-13% to look lean.

    Fat targeting is a myth, look at a good HIIT cardio regime and eat at a caloric deficit. In terms of your diet Hi Protein, med fat, low carb. Don't let your protein come from just shakes, eat lean meats and fish. For fats regulate your intake with healthy fats such as raw nuts, olive oil, etc while keeping your carb intake low.

    All diet brother....Losing any form of fat is diet. The belly is just really one of the hardest places to lose it! Honestly, no amount of ab workouts are going to make you lose the belly fat, you'll just be building ab muscles underneath your existing fat.

    I would suggest you really take a look at your diet and see how good it really is. Would you mind posting what you eat on a daily basis? If you do post, please be completely honest about you eat. You won't be able to get the help you're looking for if you're leaving out the fact that you eat 5 packs of gushers a day haha.

    Kind of hard to do that because what I eat is hardly ever the same, I don't have enough money to go out and get whatever I want it's gotta be budget.

    Grilled chicken, whole grain brown rice, frozen veggies, lean serloin steak, eggs. Its not expensive...since I've been sticking with those as my basis for meals I've been saving a lot of money. Granted I don't know what your budget looks like, but I'm sure we could make something work for you if you fill me in on what you eat etc. . .

    What's your opinion on frozen dinners? Like Stouffers chicken and vegetables, stuff like that? They are pretty cheap and damn good.

    Not good in my opinion! Generally they are high in cholesterol, high in sodium, high in carbs, high in calories....and semi low in protein (proportionately speaking nutritionally when compared to everything else it has.)...although stouffers doesn't look THAT bad!

    I haven't had a TV dinner in a LONG time, but I just tried to look up the price on the stouffers chicken and vegetables and its about $8.00 each + shipping. I would imagine super market price would be a little higher than online price, but for arguments sake we'll say its $8.00 at the supermarket as well!

    I know you're thinking a TV dinner could be cheaper than what I suggested but I think you're wrong when you factor in a couple things...
    1: Price of ONE meal...3 meals a day would be at least $24.00, that's $168.00 a week if you ate three stouffers meals a day. You probably won't be eating just stouffers, and obviously you'll be spending money and eating other things as well, like snacks!
    2: What you're getting nutritionally in that 1 meal.
    3: Other alternatives, that are definitely healthier and under the price point of TV dinners.

    Here is what I bought just yesterday, the price of it, and how long it will last me!

    2x - 4lb packs 99% fat free thin sliced chicken breast $9ea.
    I eat a little over 12oz a meal that will last me 8 meals at $18 + tax (I actually have chicken left over that I snack on haha, and 12oz is considered quite a bit of food)...You would probably wanna stick somewhere in the neighborhood of 8oz'ish

    4x - Uncle bens Wyld brown rice 1.99ea for a total of $8. Each pack has 2 servings in it so that will also last 8 meals

    4x - Valley fresh broccoli steamers, good for 2 servings so 8 meals as well...starting to see the trend haha? $3.00ea for a total of $16

    So price per meal for me would be 2.25 + 1.00 + 2.00 = $5.25 a meal = 110.25 a week.

    Right there its almost $60 savings a week, obviously give or take 10 bucks both ways because of tax/different pricing etc. . .but you see where I'm coming from. So roughly $60 in savings a week is $240 in savings a month...thats quite a bit. And to boot is healthier!

    Now granted I do get more than that at the super market, I was just comparing meal plan vs. meal plan.

    I also pick up things like:
    - Greek yogurt
    - Mixed fruit
    - Bananas
    - Oatmeal
    - Oats
    - Nuts
    - Milk
    - Eggs
    - USDA lean serloin

    Jack Goff is right though, unfortunately you do have to put yourself in a calorie deficit! Check it out and really understand the concept of it, you have to do it right otherwise you'll essentially slow down your metabolism which would be incredibly counter productive!

    You have to lose your overall fat because you can't spot reduce fat.
