    Lip piercing help!

Who here has their lip pierced?
    I have some questions.
I did this myself, it seems to be turning out fine

The inside keeps having this white stuff that i keep getting off of it, but don't know what it is.

It just like, I started with a hoop, my lip is scabbed from the jewelry rubbing I guess?

And finally, the outside is kinda sore(ish)

    is this all normal?

    Thanks!

It's pus and the area is infected. Go see a doctor, this should have been done by a professional.

You sure it's infected? A friend said his is like this before.
I wonder if waiting it out, alcohol would help.

Yup I'm pretty sure. Put some hydrogen peroxide on it and see if that helps (Not too much).

If I was you, I'd let the hole close. Take the piercing out and rub a little peroxide on the openings of the hole.

If you plan to leave it in, do the same thing I said but with leaving the piercing in.

I'd go see a doctor or atleast someone who knows what he's doing (like someone who does this as a job)

I talked to girlfriend, she said leave it in so if the infection is there I can let it get out, not let it get trapped :S

Lol she has no idea what she is talking about, no offense to her. When piercings are infected, it's recommended that the person should let the hole close so the pus doesn't harden and mold the shape of the piercing making the pain much worse if moved or tampered with. I wouldn't play around with a piercing close to my mouth, so that's the best option.

Have a professional or a doctor look at it.
If it's infected, they can tell just by looking at it, and tell you what to do on the stage you're at at that time.

I would not recommend doing it yourself, because an infected lip is one of the biggest inconveniences (as I've been told) at the very least.

Just like with earrings and such you should be putting something on it to cleanse and keep it loose for the first while.
