Any of you guys given it a go? What are your thoughts on this?

In short, Intermittent Fasting is where you only consume calories for a certain time period each day. This is typically an 8 hour window and you fast for 16 hours.

Thinking I'll update this thread every now and then with how I'm feeling as a result of it.

    Day One:
Today marks day one for me. Having sprained my wrists I decided I would start my cut 2 months early and thought I'd give Intermittent Fasting a try. With my wrists I'm only lifting light with my wrist braces to avoid further injury. I'm just in muscle preservation mode at this point and trying to shred this weight. Goofed last night staying up late as I was really hungry trying to get to sleep but managed it in the end. Devoured breakfast and was still really hungry. Just had lunch and still hungry. It's a bit hard to describe however, it differs somewhat from normal hunger though I don't know how to explain it. On we go.

I do 6 hour window and I train fasted.
for me, 12-6Pm eating window works the best. I consume 2k calories in the window and I remain full for the entire duration and i feel full until i sleep.
Train around 9-10am, wait a couple hours, consume shakes and meals.

Just remember to hit all your macros too, people think IF is a diet when its just a method of dieting.

How long have you been doing it? Do you do it in general now or only when cutting? What is your maintenance calories? What are some of the benefits you have found from it?

Yeah it isn't really a diet it's more of an eating schedule.

    Thanks for your input.

I only do it while cutting, my maintenance calories is 3160.
    i do 40/40/20 (carb/protein/fat)
I noticed a boost in energy (mentally).
I never over eat because of the schedule.

takes a week or two to get used to but I enjoy it. A good tip is, straight black coffee doesnt break the IF :D take advantage with a cup in the morning.

edit- ive used it for all my cuts past 3 years

Yeah I think it's gonna take a while to get used to it. I'm fiending for some food right now man.

I'm not a fan of black coffee or coffee in general, may look into diet/zero coke or something and have a cup of that every now and then to break away from the monotony of water 24/7.

Yeah it's not for everyone, some people's bodies simply can't do it. It is what it is.

I wanted to lower my body fat so I tried this out and I couldn't last a week. I would vomit and feel nausea throughout the day. If I continued to force myself, I would have some serious health problems.

Decided it wasn't for me. This stems from being in town and literally ending up sitting in my locker room at work for like half an hour just feeling nauseous.
