Is WoW worth playing?

I started playing in like 2007 and haven't played since and I kinda want to get away from RS... but it's like the same as rs, so many updates and add-ons that idk if it's worth playing anymore.

Is it worth to start playing again ? is there any website/forums for WoW ? I like to browse forums and such when I play games.

 

Are you US or EU? Do you like PvP or PvE? What is your favourite class/spec?

I would say WoW is worth playing, WoD the newest expansion being released is due before December, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mV_HFL8USok) and in November there is going to be a 10th year anniversary where you'll be rewarded with a mount, pet and the experience of doing a 40 man raid LFR. PvE wise, now is the best time to experience MoP, they've nerfed the raids and allowed people from all realms to do both normal and heroic, so you'll be able to fit into a raid with ease. Since you haven't played since 2007 you wouldn't of known about LFR (Looking for raid) it's a new system, designed to help casual and new players jump start their way into raiding, although sometimes a pain it allows you to view the content at a casual player rate.

From 2007 to 2013 so much has changed, so much more to experience and more things to do.

 

You just want the RaF. The game is shit atm, to be brutally honest. Why have someone start playing a game when all that hard work youve put in was for nothing? Gearing up in LFR is useless. Waiste of time actually. He will spend so much time tryng to find a raid that cant even do all of the LFR. By the time he even gets fully geared out of LFR moving to open realm 10/25mans the expac will be out

eh.. it is if you like pve, but if you are like me and only really enjoy pvp its not worth getting back into, the way arenas work will bore you out in a month or so.

 

It's not really. Exactly what delta said is my opinion.

 

I don't exactly care for the RaF, I just added it in because I'm a fast leveller and I'm more than willing to help someone out.
Gearing up in LFR is useless..? Explain..? It takes around 2-3 weeks to fully gear up if you do Seige LFR and then you can progress into Flex and gear up even more, if you use Openraid it'll be easy.

At least know what you're talking about before adding in a comment for post count.

 

or you could raf 4 accounts to 85 in under 2 days and be arena geared in under 5.

The game is definitely in a bad state right now in my opinion. Everyone is just waiting for the new expansion to come out. If it were me I would wait till WoD is released.

 

I played it when my girlfriend started playing and the quests were so boring. the raids werent so bad

 

I bot accounts all the time and resell them, it takes 4 days to lvl to 90, and than you can buy all the epic BoE's (without equiping) and join LFR SoO and get carried = gg . you get the gear you need to do any LFR raid. All done within a week. Do it another week and you get a decent geared 90. use jp/valor to boost gear.

 

BC was WoW at its finest. I think all the expansions after have just sent the game downhill. Feel free to try it, though.

 

When was boting mentioned? Also in what world would you boost gear with Justice Points? It kinda goes to show you don't know much about World of Warcraft yourself to be making a bad opinion on it. He hasn't played since 07 and coming back to LFR would be fun and exciting for a new player + all raids have been nerfed so it's easier for players to slip in and experience something they've missed out on.

I'm not going to sit here and argue back and forth, I think WoW is worth playing especially now for someone who hasn't played in 07, it'll be easier to slip in to now everything has been nerfed, you'll get a feel before WoD comes out.

 

World of Warcraft is awesome but I'm still a complete novice in it. I never even got close to end game content like raids and what not.

But even as just a lvl 30 ish noob not knowing what he was doing, I had fun. I'd keep playing if I had a better PC.

WoW is great if you're looking for a game to progress in. I quit around about 7 months ago due to being bored and not really wanting to do what i want in the game due to irl activities. I will go back to WoW when warlords of draenor expansion comes out.

I used to play the game heavily for 2-3 years which I enjoyed alot, mainly Hardcore raiding, which gave me some decent over ranks, top 5 dps ranks on many fights which was somewhat an achievement out of the whole world.

I'd only play again once WoD comes out too either PVP or PVE high end though.
