Getting back into the game, few questions

I stopped playing in early 2012, a few months before EoC was released. I want to get back in the game. Since I've never really been into PvP, I've decided to return to RS3 for the PvM aspects of it. I just have a few questions about the game since I was gone.

(1) Should I immediately buy members, or play F2P awhile to get used to the new things about the game?

(2) Full Manual EoC, Revolution EoC, or Legacy? Keep in mind that I know almost nothing about EoC. I heard that Manual EoC isn't far away from simple button mashing - is that true?

(3) Acceptable armor and weapons? Are chaotics still top tier? What about SGS/AGS?

(4) Best way to make money now? Please exclude bossing - I'm not willing to do that right now.

(5) How should I go about looking for a new, decent clan?

1) Yes buy P2P once you're sure you wanna commit but at the same time a bond is only 5m which is like $2.5 so its not like you need to worry about wasting too much.

2) I personally prefer revolution since its faster than legacy but not too full on.

3) SGS and AGS are both still very good weapons but nowadays if you can afford it get drygores. Also melee isnt always the best way to go for everything now sometimes you gotta change it up a bit depending on what you're trying to kill.

4) Bossing is by FAR the best way of making money but you should probably make GP through training your skills or selling dungeoneering floors (not sure if that still exists).

When I use melee, is it usually better to use a 2H weapon or dual-wield? Sorry, still catching up on 2012 stuff!

And how much more can I make bossing than say, frost dragons (they are still good money makers, right)?

Get membership, only then can you know whether you want to keep playing or not.

Legacy is alot more fun, and yeah Manual EOC is just hitting buttons for abilities...

Drygores are now better than chaotics, but chaotics are still #2.

Sell some junk and buy membership with bonds. If you need money due to low membership you can kill frosts drags for 3-4m/hr or qbd for 5m/hr (6m = bond so 1-2 hours work/14 days)

If you plan on pvming only, It's easier to use eoc on revolution mode. it basically clicks the abilities for you. If you prefer an old school type for pking then use legacy. Legacy isn't that great for bossing

Top tier weapons are now level 90.

For range there is Ascension crossbows/naxious longbow
For melee there is dual Drygores (maces/longs/rapiers) or naxious sythe(2h)
for mage there is Seismic orb+wand (it's like 1b for the two) or naxious staff

chaotics are decent for casual pvming, but if we talk about the absolute best weapon refer to above

(4) Best way to make money now? Please exclude bossing - I'm not willing to do that right now.
Frost Dragons 3-4M/hr
QBD (It's a boss, but you get used to it. +revolution eoc req or you'll have a tough time) is 5m/hr
