Monitoring Skype

It all started today when i got a buyer for my obby mauler yesterday. he did a offer on playerauctions than we got on skype and i did screen share with him than he did the payment to Player auctions, and he cancelled it after and went offline.
now i got another buyer called soomeh here on sythe we were supossed to do the trade today. i was at work all day today and came home and looked at my history now There were messages sent from me to Soomeh, while i wasnt at home so i knew that something was up so i did a virus scan deleated some things and did a reboot on my computer, so i came back and did the trade with soomeh and we got someone to mm this for us. first odd thing that happened was when soomeh traded the mm ingame someone else knew that he traded 73m and dh to the mm. i gave all the details to soomeh and he was asking me to do screen share on skype to see a file i had on the information just after i closed the call and got back the the group chat with the mm i saw that someone typed another rsn that mine to collecting the money and confirmed it was me but it wasnt so what happened now is that someone else got the money instead of me

i asked soomeh to always pm me before trading me but he didnt and the mm didnt know about it

anyone know how this has happened my virus scan didnt found any keylogger or rat and i cleaned computer before trading and did change my skype pass after scan

 

I'm confused, did anyone get scammed, or was their just a bunch of weird glitches like you stated?

 

Someone else did get the gold instead of me someone is able to control my skype, Talk with people etc. and i told my buyer to ask for a pm before trading me but he didnt do this and now he got the acc i sold to him and i got 0

but what i want to know is if someone ever heard of this, im almost pretty sure the person only monitors my skype. cant finding anything about it on google

 

The story is we got mm i paid him 73m and dh after like 3 minutes someone sent me a pm and told me is that you the one who traded dh and 73m i asked him :who are you ? he said that he is from pb then i told them what happened with me , them bayuka changed email to my email and he send password request to change it so i did and he asked me to confirm that everything is fine then i did , then he asked me to confirm for the mm to give him the money to without me getting the information for the account so i refused and i wanted to get the information first , he gave me where the country where the account was and the year it was created and how he paid for membership , it wasn't convince that all info he got about the account was that , he told me that all info on a file i asked him to show me the file on screenshare with Skype , we opened the call and he showed me that only all he got was that , then i confirmed for the MM to give him the money MM asked him about RSN and he confirmed that he was trading with him the 73m and dh , after the trade is done he started saying that it was not him and his comp is hacked .... and he said he will recover back the account .

 

I told you 3 times i wont recover it ofcourse i was mad and confused what would you do and i told you hours before the trade that someone can talk with people on my skype and you had to always pm me before trading, i maybe should;ve told that to the mm but i was to busy gathering information for you about the account, and to busy with you, giving answers to your questions and showing you things with screen sharing.

 

it is not my fault tho ;/ and about the PM , you got one from the MM so you didnt need PM from me ...

 

Im not saying it is your fault but i would liked a pm but i was calling you on skype showing you my screen and 2 sec later im accepting cash while you saw on my screen and i wasnt on rs

 

If what you say is true, he's more at fault, although it's an honest mistake it seems.

 

Pro tip: Use sythe chat on a 2 factored account for all trades.

 

What did I just read..

 

how it is my fault , how my pm would make any difference if we are using MM .. and the MM got confirmed that he is trading him .
but the question he is trying to ask is there something like this ? that can control his skype ?

This is what is annoying me the most that you don't believe me. i already told you hours before the trade got enough proof of that even stated on my gold shop thread that my skype got hacked or something, but im not claiming its your fault and i dont want a refund or something i only want to know if people ever heard of this i'm pretty sure the guy on Playerauctions i shared screen with has something to do with this

 

Im not gonna report him if he is not gonna recover the account , if he do I will and I'm not blaming him for anything till now....
he want to know how it has happened...

 

My best guess is someone knows your Skype password and logged into your account. Skype account can have multiple log-ins (to carter to mobile users) and if you type on computer A, the message will show up on computer B as well.

 

So you guys used a MM for this trade but the MM traded the incorrect person?

Are you not placing any fault on the MM?

Also, why would you be so quick to resume trading after someone obviously had access to your Skype. Personally, if that ever happened to me, I'd be making a new Skype and burning the old one.

 

No the MM traded the right guy , the Bayuka's skype said the user name he wanted to trade with the MM and then mm asked him to confirm if he was trading him and bayuka's skype confirmed it , but bayuka thinks that his skype is hacked somehow ...

 

So the MM did not trade the right guy... The MM should have required Bayuka to PM him on Sythe with his Runescape username. I never communicate any sensitive information via Skype, it's always done through Sythe PM.

Who was the middleman that handled this trade?

To me it seems like he could be at fault, if this were to happen in a direct trade the person that traded without a Sythe PM would just receive a "sorry for your loss" kind of thing but in this case the money didn't "belong" to him so I think it's very possible the MM should be required to pay this back.

To me, it just sounds like poor trading practice.

 

Why was there a need to screen share playerauctions in the first place? Thats the first thing that I dont really understand, there is no need for it.

 

The thing is soomeh doesnt believe me but i told him way before the trade that there was something up with my skype, nobody could know my pass i changed it and did a virus scan. Snow ill ask a mod or something what they think about it and soomeh the right person didnt give the right person the cash because i didnt get it the hacker typed another rsn while i was sharing screen with you because you rlly wanted to which is odd at the first place,delaghetto was the mm
