RSPS accounts rule amendment (Grinderscape Specific)

This is mainly aimed towards other RSPS forum regulars and staff but all opinions are valid.

Context
Over the past few weeks there have been a large number of bannings of grinderscape accounts by the GS staff creating numerous different accounts with their cute little 'police department' that they have created.

These accounts will end up being cleaned and reset including all ranks etc, along with all future accounts on the server.

Solution?
Obviously we cannot change the rule into no pictures required (for obvious reasons)
So how about having an rsps account verifier or something similar? It would reduce the chance of being caught and still have the safety for buyer knowing the account is legitimate.

Any other solution ideas would be greatly appreciated.

 

People typically don't list accounts that aren't theirs, adding verifies would go too far.
As for those faggots whose e-peens are so giant (and real peens incredibly small) that they come and post/ban based on Sythe sellings, they won't get anywhere in life anyway.
On the other hand, that's the risk of selling accounts/worth when it's against ToS.

Even if you remove the pictures requirement, those kids will pretend to be a buyer until they're given the account information and then ban/wipe them anyway.

There is no solution. That's the risk of a blackmarket, sorry.

 

Then just sell to known buyers?
The verification is necessary just to avoid people saying "oh I've got a maxed extreme SS account but I wont go first" - to save potential victims from being scammed.

 

I would like to see something, because I myself have two GrinderScape accounts I want to see, super donor and dicer ranks.

 

If you sell to only know buyers, the market will slowly dwindle until nobody is buying. Buyers usually don't just keep buying.

 

It's a risk you take selling those accounts. If you don't post pictures, they will just find another way to get them banned.

I don't think having an RSPS account verifier is feasible. I mean, there are far too many sold/advertised on a daily basis. I'm not opposed to it, but I also don't think anyone will be willing. Also, it wouldn't be optimum unless each verifier used VPN/Proxy, for their own security.

 

I'm confused... Is the verification supposed to stop the admins from wiping the account after it is sold? Couldn't they just wait until the verifier has verified it and then ban it after the trade? I probably read something wrong but I don't see how you can stop admins from intervening.

 

I'm suggesting that instead of posting pictures, the thread just says what the account has stats/value wise and have a verified rsps account checker to be sent pictures on sythe to confirm on thread that the said stats etc match up.

That might potentially reduce the amount of banned players.

 

oh i see so it is to prevent admins from using the stats and items to find the account in question? I thought that was the point of blacking out certain skills to hide the identity?

 

They seem to be able to get around that, as accounts generally had stats hidden or not revealed at all (max cape)

 

fair enough... I guess a solution would be to give people the option to either post pics at their own risk or have it verified. It wouldn't be a good idea to make it mandatory because it would just make the whole situation messy and slow but I think for upper end accounts you should have the option for that next level of security.

 

Reiculous concept. As a veteran of online markets, most buyers are single time. And who is going to buy multiple private server accounts?

Every idea I'm seeing and can possibly think of can be stopped by their staff. Seriously, there isn't a possible solution for this.

As I've stated, the buyer could be an undercover RSPS staff and completely finish the transaction, ban, and chargeback.

This is a problem, but not one with a feasible solution other than providing as little information as possible to determine the identity of the account until the transaction is complete. As always, use a chargeback-proof payment method if possible.
