Is EOC still there or do I have the option to switch to old combat on RS3 without switching to 07scape? Cause this is getting confusing...I don't get it?

 

RS3 contains legacy mode and EOC. You can switch between the two modes in your game option settings (The default is EOC). 07scape (Oldschool) is another version of the game which can't be accessed in RS3, it has it's own separate server.

Yes, there is a legacy mode only world where you can pk others using the same game mode.

In rs3 you can switch between eoc and legacy mode, and then theres a completely different sever aka 07scape. EOC/Legacy are built in so players on either can play together, while 07 is seperate.

 

legacy mode looks very similar to the former combat system but if you take away the old ui and the hype it is just a glorified version of momentum or what have you. The mechanics of the stat system and the balancing are still changed (for the better probably) but the meta is far from the same. You will feel like you are playing old rs but I personally can't enjoy it because of how it plays so differently. Personally I think the goal was to trick old players into thinking it is the same but maybe i'm just cynical.
